We had a delicious meal here which the proprietor, who was very friendly, prepared for us at short notice, as the chef was not on duty at the time.  
We enjoyed the atmosphere, and the fireplace was great on a cold night.

We Stayed at this  Hotel last year and as a result when in this area, did not hesitate to book here again. We found the owners to be very friendly. The whole Hotel is spotlessly clean and the room was very comfortable. As with our last visit the meals were magnificent.

We did not stay here however, we were looking for a pub where we could get a decent steak for dinner and we were not disappointed. It doesn't look like much from the outside or when you enter, however, I was presently, surprised by the quality of the Scotch fill it steak that was provided. It was a good size piece of meat and was cooked exactly how we asked for it, medium rare. I had no complaints, and would eat here again if I was passing through Donald. The pizzas coming out of the kitchen, looked pretty good as they went past. too

What a great country pub, complete with the characters you often find in such a pub. A great feel to this place.  Very warm and inviting.
The meal was delicious and the serving sizes were excellent.  Meals are very reasonably priced for the quality and size of the meal.
The proprietors are friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Despite it being rather chilly outside, the outdoor area looks great.  Something I will definitely be checking out when I visit again in summer and spring.

We stayed here overnight on our drive to Mildura. Staff were very friendly. Food was great.  Rooms are a little small, but have everything you need for a comfortable nights sleep.  The continental breakfast included was perfect for our trip. It's open 24 hours so we we able to get up as early as we pleased ad fix ourselves some breakfast and a cuppa before hitting the road.

Overall excellent.

Stayed one night as a stop-over while visiting the silo art in the Wimmera area. As it is a traditional pub, the rooms were fairly small with shared bathrooms, which was fine for us as we were the only guests. Our room had been given a bit of a 'glam' facelift and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom had also been refurbished, but I suspect it could be a bit chilly in winter. As our room was small, we made use of the guest lounge, and this could be given a bit of attention to make it attractive to guests as the heater didn't work and there were a few unused TVs lying around. The pub is on the main road through town, and there was a bit of noise from large trucks going through, which was to be expected, but it didn't affect our sleep.
Breakfast was included, with help-yourself cereals and toast available.  It was a bit weird that the managers weren't around in the morning, and there wasn't any information but how to contact them if there were any issues, but we managed.  
We had a drink in the bar, and ate dinner there and thought the food was great - fresh and delicious. 
Overall, the Bullock's Head was a chance to experience a traditional pub stay.
