Well ... 16 of us grabbed our sleeping pillows and sleeping bags and off we went ..
Lunch at The Ravenswood 1st.. 
Then off to spend the night to celebrate Linz 40th birthday
Such a lot of fun .. we played spot-o and plenty of board games
We had a lovely walk around
We had a cosy wood fire
Great winter get away
Basic but the fun is in your hands !! 
Less than $30 per head
Youngest of the group was 6months - oldest was 64 yrs old 

This place is special to me as my father in-law was sent here in the 1930’s so have always had a curiosity to visit here. I found it amazing especially the old church that my father-in-law helped build. It is beautifully preserved and well kept with lovely gardens and plenty of peacocks swanning around. Blue wrens are very popular here.

Having lived here as a boy, it is all very familiar. I'm glad it has a continuing use. And don't believe those stories. It was a very happy place!
Particularly, the sport was terrific. Now the pitches/fields look a bit approximate but we didn't notice at the time.


A group of us girls have just spent the last weekend here and it was fantastic, no TV, No Telephone, No noise, no internet........ Just a very relaxing time. We stayed in a bungalow that housed 18 people, the beds were comfortable, the bungalow was clean and situated a decent way from other bungalow's. There is enough basic necessities, plates & knives & forks E.T.C.  you need to bring you own towels, pillows & blankets, serving plates  We walked the grounds on Saturday morning checking the grounds out, was a little disappointed the museum was closed , would have been nice to check that out.....

As a family we stayed in Darwin and Hudson Houses. Plenty of room. The fridge/freezer needed to be bigger. Unfortunately at 40 deg the air con kept tripping out. So we endured hours of stifling heat until the caretaker came to fix it. You need to take linen and towels.
But overall we had a wonderful time.

Very basic shared accommodation. You need a car to get there. Lots of Australian animals birds and plants to see. Very busy on weekends with people coming from Perth. It is only i hour from Perth city.

We had a drive out to see where the movie three summers was produced it is a beautiful place to wander around and take in the beauty of the surrounding area 
Lunch was tasty and a good coffee  a peaceful place with character

This would be the eighth festival in approx 14 years, I have visited.
Logistics has improved !
Performers are less well known and not all are as professional as previous years,
probably the cost to bring them... this doesnt correlate to the increase in entry fees, and accomodation.
Sadly I dont think I will be back.

FairBridge Festival 2019

spent 3 nights here - very basic but comfortable ammenities in the cabins (bring your own pots/utensils if coming for longer)
really enjoyed the quiet, native wildlife, and space from other residents
Cafe has wifi, but DO NOT drink the coffee (it's woeful - especially on the weekend, psst: someone needs to do a coffee making course!)
