Columbia Apartments on Rainbow Bay

We have just had a brilliant few days at Columbia Apartments in Rainbow Bay.
We had a group booking with three different Units and each one was wonderful. They were all looking out over the ocean.
The Units had everything you could imagine, they were incredibly clean and well appointed. It was perfect for the children with a heated pool, tennis court and the beach in front of our building. We parked our cars and walked everywhere which helped make our few days feel like a longer stay. The Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We will all be back again this time next year.

Unit 6 was great with everything necessary provided (full kitchen and laundry) for a wonderful stay - sea view and comfortable bed. This unit is a two level townhouse on the ground floor with easy access to beach, pool and tennis court for us with children - even had tennis racquets in the cupboard.  Beautiful swimming and surfing beaches just across the road.  Friendly and helpful hosts.

Great views of the beach and town, short walk from the main shops and to Twin Towns RSL.

Very friendly management who went above and beyond to accommodate and assist us during our stay.

Pre covid, this has been our holiday destination each year as we love the accommodation and location.  First lengthy trip post covid and look forward to our next trip staying at Columbia Apartments!

My family and I spent four days here in a beautiful apartment on the 12th floor, what an amazing view and across the road from the beach where we spent most of our time, one thing I love about the apartment is that there were so many windows that you could open for a fresh Breeze at least two in every room. Our kitchen was fully self-contained with every utensil possible. The elevators were surprisingly quick given how busy the place was. The managers were Great, hospitable and accommodating, not cranky like most apartment managers. We will definitely stay again thank you.

Im lucky to be a Coolangatta local and when I want to wake up with beachfront views I book a few nights at Columbia Apartments. The location is ideal for surfing, walking and bike riding. Close to shops and restaurants but not too close to the noise of town.
Matt the manager is extremely helpful and obliging. Highly recommend.

We just love this place. So central, great beach, the accommodation is very clean and comfortable, friendly and helpful on site management. Short walks any which way to restaurants, other beaches and some great shopping.

We have been going to The Columbia for the last 5 years for our Christmas/New Year holiday. As always it didn't disappoint! The apartments are very well maintained and all have beach/water views. We love our time in Rainbow Bay and are looking forward to returning again this year!
Matt & Michelle are awesome and no request is to big or small, they maintain the property to an excellent standard.

Another wonderful stay . Amazing sea views with plenty to watch while enjoying the private balcony, fantastic apartments. We were greeted  by enthusiastic hosts/ managers who ensured our stay was enjoyable. We would recommend. If you love walks by the beach, shops.  Restaurants  within walking distance. Rainbow Bay is out of the hustle and bustle but not far away if you want to join in

Great location, great apartment in Rainbow Bay

Incredible location

What an amazing place Rainbow Bay is, and Columbia apartments are perfectly located. The beach is gorgeous, great little surf club across the road, parks and walks all at your doorstep. We stayed in a 3 bedroom apartment, no 51. It was huge and very comfortable. Great couch and TV and outdoor settings and the beds were all really comfortable! The staff were so lovely - we were able to let our baby have a nap with a early check in and leave a bit later. 
The unit is older and hasn’t been renovated but it doesn’t detract from it being really comfortable. It is is dire need - of a really really good clean. Bedside tables and draws need to be wiped out, cupboards are filthy inside and the bedspreads and abundance of blankets that are available need a good wash. It might happen every few months but there was visible food on some of the bedspreads. The linen and towels were beautiful and fresh and clean though. The unit hadn’t been used in a while I’m guessing as I had to clean the bath out before I put the kids in and I also washed the nonslip mat that had black mould on it. It’s just little things like that that make you notice that it needs a good going over. The kitchen needs to be reappointed. It looks like over the years the pots and pans have been ruined and not replaced - there are so many lids but only one pot and one tatty frying pan. If we were there for longer I would done some cleaning and reorganising myself. 
A proper deep clean from the cleaner and a few bits and pieces from kmart would make this place 5 stars in my opinion and I certainly will be booking again to stay as all in all it was great and we enjoyed it so much.

Columbia Apartments is always a great place to stay for a relaxing week or two - it is an easy walk to shops and restaurants; great beaches and the well-maintained building has everything you need. Another wonderful stay at Columbia

After a disastrous experience with another property (we had to vacate the property at short notice as uninhabitable), the Manager of Columbia graciously offered to assist us by providing an apartment to us at no notice.  We were delighted to be placed into a typical Columbia unit with wonderful views, and comfortable, spacious, immaculately maintained rooms at a very competitive rate.  Arrangements were also made on our behalf to obtain a refund from the abandoned apartment and transfer the balance available to cover the cost of the Columbia unit. The Manager of Columbia, Alison, provided exceptional and charming service throughout our entire stay - a rarity these days, in very challenging circumstances.  Couldn't speak highly enough of the Columbia and particularly its Manager Alison.
