This is my favorite bed & breakfast. Initially I thought it’s one of those bed & breakfasts with many rooms etc, but this is some sort of a homestay. The owners actually live in the house and manage the rooms themselves. I love that it’s very personal, the living room has so many photos of the family. The room was very spacious, and clean. Jorge and Susan (the owners) personally manage the bookings and receives the guests too. And every morning, even when I need to leave early for my day trips, Jorge prepares my breakfast and shares stories about his life and the life in Argentina. He helped me with my laundry and money exchange too. 

Great place to stay - opposite convent, walking distance to centre and all local sights. Great breakfast. Jorge was an excellent host with lots of advice of where to visit and eat in Salta plus local tour company.

A belated review, but I was just thinking of this fabulous B&B and realized I had forgotten to post a review during our vacation. The B&B is located right in the center of Salta (but in a quiet street), and the hosts know all the right places to go, be it a morning run, empenadas, a vineyard, daytrips, what not. We loved our stay here, as it feels as if you are with family (though you have a lot of privacy too!). We were with 6 people and had booked both rooms. Definitely recommend this place and the region in general. (Be sure to visit the anthropological museum in the city center!)

Lovely spacious room with clean and very comfy bed.  Room on first floor overlooks a nunnery with access to a lovely balcony.  Nice breakfast and relaxed atmosphere.  Jorge is very friendly and the perfect host and speaks good English and is happy to help out with any questions and provides trip suggestions.  We stayed here on three separate nights while we were touring around the area with it being a good base.  It's only a 10-15min walk to the main square and is good value for money.   The area seems safe with police patrolling the streets which is normal for Argentinian cities.  I would recommend this accommodation and would stay here again if I return.

Jorge and Suzanne's home is the perfect base in Salta, a charming, authentic town in the incredibly stunning North west of Argentina. We stayed at Caseros 44 for three non-consecutive nights, and Jorge was gracious about helping us plan our outings, welcoming us back upon each return.  The room with the terrace facing the convent is very large with lots of natural light. The church bells are surely atmospheric. We chose to keep our windows open so we could enjoy them, but the windows are well insulated if you prefer the silence.  Their home is in the historic section within easy walking distance of the central square, museums, and great restaurants.  All in all, excellent value, and an environment that felt like home.

Jorge was an absolutely delightful host, going above and beyond to make our stay in Salta perfect. We had booked a triple room but as the twin room hadn't been booked that night, he gave us both rooms at no extra cost. Thank you Jorge! He also gave us free passes to the museum saving us 100 pesos/ ~7 USD per person. All in all he could not have been any more welcoming or friendly. He also told us some very interesting stories about his past over breakfast. The rooms are lovely, spacious and comfortable. My only qualm (obviously no fault of Jorge's, simply due to the location) is that Caseros 44 is on quite a noisy road and was too hot to sleep with the windows shut; and being opposite a beautiful convent meant bells at ringing at various times in the early hours. The bathroom off the double room could also do with a bit of a deep clean and revamp. Breakfast was lovely; fresh fruit salad, croissants and toast. Location couldn't have been better, a 10 minute walk from the main square and on the same block as two excellent restaurants (Chirimoya and La Cuisine). Incredibly convenient also for the main car hire companies, they are all located just a few blocks away.
