Cabañas Rivendel

Returning to El Chaltén for the second time, we have chosen "Cabañas Rivendel" to stay again: it has a great location, being in the north of the city, near the beginning of the trail to Laguna de los Tres and a short 5-10 minutes walk from the center of the city, being in a most quiet and private area, without the noise and lots of people wandering around that many hotels and hostels have on high season. It has a supermarket next to it, and the La Waflería in the same grounds (with great comfort food options with a good price and discount for guests), as well as several restaurants and panaderias (bakeries) around on San Martin Avenue itself. The service is excellent, made by the owners, Demian and Romina, always friendly and helpful for anything you need. The Studio room is great, with daily cleaning, and a cozy and comfortable atmosphere, equiped with a mini fridge and a small kitchen with everything you need to do your meals or snacks if you choose to do so. The satellite TV has a wide range of channels in several languages and they also have now a safe to use in the room, if needed. The Studio has a great heating system and hot water whenever you want, and if you come by car you still have private parking space. It almost feels like we were at home and we just have to thank them for the experience, always an excellent option to rest after the trails with tranquility and great value for money.
