We liked Elken so much that we came back 2 more times after coming back from Chile and from El Chalten. In total we spent 4 or 5 days there. The hotel is by the lake and overlooks El Calafate from 10 Kms away. At night you have a beautiful view of the city lights. The place is quiet. The owner, Miriam, is great. She cooks and bakes every day. We really recommend to dine there Miriam's home made food. She also bakes cakes for next day breakfast every day.Best hotel for the price, service and location.
