After reading about El Aleman and the stunning setting of San Juan province we decided to give it a try (esp. after a trip to Patagonia was ruled out due to the expensive cost of flying in Argentina for foreigners). Instead we booked a few days in Mendoza and a few days at El Aleman. All I can say is go if you are hesitating at all...this cozy little Inn is just what we were looking for to add some much needed rest and relaxation in to our travels. The rooms are charming and the shower was the best we had during the two weeks we stayed in Argentina. The location and the Inn are much better in real time than you see in the pictures. The best part is the lovely couple who own and run the place. They make a wonderful combination together...Perla is lovely and kind and makes you feel so taken care of and Bernd is a great host: attentive and a good cook. They have a great wine cellar and craft beer. This spot is pretty special and something to really make your trip. We won't forget El Aleman any time soon!
