Looks like nothing changes here from 1967 then it was build.
Only advantages we have found:
1. Clear sea (thanks to Khrushchev to choose the place for the resort).
2. The view from the room (but just one side and above 8th flour).
3. Food is included.
All other things are disadvantages.
First off all - the price. If it would be 1-1,5 thousand rubles - it would be no questions to this hotel, but 4 thousand rubles for a day - it’s extremely high for such type of property.
Just think about 7000 persons capacity and than about battle for food.
The food is very simple like in soldier canteen and if you can find some assortment for dinner and lunch, the breakfast is very poor - only porridge and vegetable are eatable.
Rooms are extremely small and no renovation was made since opening, so everything is old, especially bathroom.
Linen change is every week that is not enough for beach hotel.
No hot water till 8 in the morning (no idea why).
Every day till midnight you must listen to this Soviet disco music from 90’s which is in each cafe, same like music - stucks in soviet time.
For 14 flours only 2 small elevators works (1 is broken) so the turn is huge in rush hours.
All prices for services and goods not included are high.
The beach is huge and the entrance fee is just 30 rubles, so if you want to go to Pitsunda, use another property and simply pay for beach entrance.
