Classic cheapie - No- nonse hostel Run down and one of the cheapest and with free extras not seen in many other hostels. Pros - good location ( many street food around) - our double room on the top floor was quiet, clean with Tv ( broken), aircon and hot shower - free breakfast - small happy hour Cons -Do not expect too much in terms of atmosphere. There is no common space to hang out ( there is actually only travel agency/ internet space, dinning room and kitchen all in one) so it is not a place to meet new fellows to hang out - Staff mixed in terms of friendliness - Corridor and stairs is run down and really filthy ( the room was in good condition though) But for honestly 5 $ -a bed or 12 $ a room ( with air-con, tv, bathroom) in French Quarter - free basic breakfast - free internet - free bear from 5-7 pm It was one of the best options if budget is your concern. I d recommend
