Perfect location, lovely room very comfy bed huge bathroom.  Hosts were so welcoming and restaurants they recommended were spot on.  Breakfasts excellent.  Would definitely stay again.

This is a lovely place and well deserves its five stars and even more really.   The owners go to great lengths to make you feel welcome and the breakfast etc. is exemplary.  Home made bread, jams and marmalade.  Plus the eggs come from their own chickens.  What is there not to like?

Well what a lovely stay we had it was a last minute decision to find somewhere in or near Lymington and we found Hunters Croft. It’s set in its own grounds with stunning views. Peace and quiet. We stayed in the annexe it was great spacious, clean, lovely comfy bed perfect. We were welcomed by the owner John who was lovely so chatty and really made us feel welcome even helped us with our bags. 
On to the morning well our breakfast was amazing although I didn’t have cooked one my partner Andy did I went healthy good selection of  fruit, cereal Jams etc 
also homemade bread which was delicious. 
Once again John came in and was so personable to everyone talking about our day asking what we are going to do and giving us great recommendations of where to try which we did we went to a lovely village it is  called Stockbridge it was beautiful worth a visit. Thankyou again John & Stephanie

An absolute gem. John and Steph are amazing hosts - nothing too much trouble.  Garden Room  and the Paddock View room are beautifully appointed with everything you could want. The king sized bed is wonderfully comfortable. Best of all is the breakfast with home sourced  sausages,  bacon and eggs from their own chickens.
It was particularly nice that we were  welcome to take  glasses of our own wine onto the terrace in the sunshine in the early evening. 
A very special place which we would love to stay at again.  Many thanks.

An amazing find.  We had a great stay in perfect surroundings from the greeting with tea and home made cake to the very comfortable good size bedrooms to relax in.  Large beds and well equipped en-suites.  Delicious breakfast cooked to order with the addiition of homemade marmalade and jams.  Everything had been thought of by the very welcoming hosts.  Would definitely recommend others to come.

Arrived on Friday 29th September for a show at Beulieu on 30th September,they kindly agreed that we could arrive between 1pm and 2pm,immediatley we arrived John was there to take our bag`s, we stayed in the little croft.
John told us once we were settled to come into the conservatory for either a tea or coffee.
We we went into into the conservatory and there we enjoyed our coffee with home made shortbread,when reading other reviews people rave about the home made Lemon Curd,unfortunately Steph had stopped making it for the year,however the following morning at breakfast she came in asked my wife how many jar`s did she want,she went out that morning and got the ingredient`s and made it for her.

The room`s are immaculately clean and they must work hard to keep it that way every day.

John and Steph are great host`s and we will be going back again,thank`s for your hospitality you showed us.

We had a wonderful experience at Hunter's Croft. Steph and John are the perfect hosts. They are chatty and helpful without ever being intrusive. They are so welcoming and even gave us tea and cake on arrival. The room was spotlessly clean with everything you could wish for, including fresh milk so you can make a decent cup of tea. The star of the show was the delicious breakfasts cooked freshly every morning, using local produce. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again. 

Lovely H&B, very clean and in a nice setting. Breakfast was made using local ingredients and beautifully cooked, can’t say one bad thing about it. On arrival we were given a welcome cuppa with homemade cake. John and Steph are really great hosts and always willing to help with advice. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again

Hunters croft really is a gem.  We stayed in the annex which was roomy, spotlessly clean & had excellent facilities.  Our hosts were welcoming & informative & provided great breakfasts in the conservatory.
Location is ideal for the New Forest & south coast with good choice of restaurants within 15 minutes drive.

We were here for a 5-night post-cruise stay. What a perfect choice! Centrally located and within easy reach of all the local towns and villages that you would want to visit. We were in the Paddock View room; full of character and a lovely comfortable bed, plenty of hot water, and views of the surrounding fields, woodland, farm animals, and wildlife that was infinitely more interesting than watching TV!  Breakfast in the conservatory was a delightful start to the morning with a lovely hot (and/or buffet) breakfast - plenty of choice on the menu, and the pleasure of watching the garden birds enjoying their breakfast too. And as to the hosts, John and Steph, a genuinely nice and friendly couple who are very approachable and always ready to help with suggestions for walks, local places of interest, and recommendations for evening meals.
We loved it! - and will be back....

Perfect 5-Night Break

My husband and I have just returned from an overnight impromptu stay at the Hunters Croft.

We thoroughly enjoyed the welcome together with a tray of tea and homemade Victoria sponge.

We stayed in the annex which was very nice. It had it’s own entrance and lovely views from the patio doors over the garden and paddocks.

The bedroom was large with lots of nice touches together with a well equipped en-suite complete with toiletries.

A restful sleep on a comfortable mattress, nice pillows and bed linen.

In the morning breakfast was served in the conservatory overlooking the views. The choice available was terrific. I had the fresh fruit salad and my husband had cereal. We both had a freshly cooked breakfast with homemade breads, lemon curd, marmalade and jams. Eggs were collected from their own chickens.

Jon and Steph are a very friendly professional couple, we would have no hesitation in recommending this delightful bed and breakfast. We will certainly be returning soon.

Super stay at Hunters Croft, Sway

Great communication via Booking prior to arrival. John and Steph are great hosts and gave us a homely welcome with coffee and cake. We stayed for four nights in the Annex. Very clean and roomy with great facilities. A variation of tea and coffee with biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge. Lovely bathroom with very fluffy shower and hand towels. Toiletries supplied. The shower has great pressure with plenty of hot water. Heated towel rail to dry towels. Main room has plenty of storage space, plenty of coat hangers, heating and a cooling fan if needed. Large patio doors leading to the patio with table and chairs, and further on into the meadow, where there are sheep pigs and chickens. Breakfast was excellent. A choice of full English, Omelette's or Salmon, all with locally sourced meat and eggs. Jam and marmalade is homemade and offered along with toast, cereals, granola and fruit.
