Another excellent light lunch. Service, ambience, food and cost excellent. Highly recommend this venue situated in the centre of the charming village of Sherston

Rooms very comfortable and well appointed. We were staying for two nights while attending a wedding nearby. The shower was a bit slippy for my disabled husband, so I messaged the manager at 7.30 am, ten minutes later there was a knock on the door and I opened it to find a shower mat outside. Fantastic service and without any issues. Breakfast in the cafe downstairs was excellent, and the keypad access arrangements worked very smoothly.

We stayed at the weekend and we're very impressed. The room was large, as was the bed! It was beautifully furnished and the bathroom was lovely with an excellent shower and lovely shower gel/shampoo etc. 
The room had a hairdryer, can, tea and coffee facilities and really nice biscuits. 
The instructions for entering the building and using the facilities were clear and extremely helpful. We particularly liked how secure the whole place felt with it's locks and codes so you can easily access when the cafe is closed. Plenty of free parking just outside also which was great. We had breakfast each morning in the cafe and the food was excellent. The cafe itself is very nice, it's comfy and really welcoming. The menu was excellent as was the food. I recommend the eggs Benedict! 
The staff were incredibly helpful and one gentleman who worked there even took the time to make suggestions for things we could do, so we took his advice and went to Stroud farmers and then for a lovely walk on the common above Stroud. All in all a lovely place to stay and definitely recommended.

Huge room, massive comfy bed. Great combination of a modern feel with some older pieces of furniture. The rooms are above a cafe which opens at 8am and does a delicious range of breakfasts. A very well run operation and good value too. Sherston is a delightful village and our room looked out over the main square. All in all, a lovely experience. 

After conducting research, I selected (The Angel). I was highly impressed with its secure check in & check out, luxurious bathing items and comfortable rooms and additional facilities(tea/coffee and cookies). Lovely place to stay to feel the tradition of British culture.

We ate here today and it was really good food and very reasonable. Service very efficient and pleasant. My husband enjoyed his Eggs Benedict and I had pancakes with berries and maple syrup. As soon as people left this very busy cafe, the table was cleared and cleaned.

We stayed here recently & enjoyed our visit to see family in the village 
The room was great , every amenity we needed as well as tastefully furnished & a great shower room.
All the staff were very welcoming & we enjoyed one lunch & three delicious breakfasts
Food freshly cooked & a lovely menu full of interesting food
Sherston is a beautiful village & very lucky to have such a great cafe & rooms in the village itself

We were lucky enough to stumble upon this delightful property when looking for accommodation near Westonbirt for a concert we were attending. Simon & his team couldn't have been more helpful, recommending taxi firms and even offering  us a lift to the concert!  We decided to bring our bikes and Simon allowed us to store these in the beautiful courtyard area - so pretty.  It was an easy cycle and really made our stay even more memorable.  The team at The Angel were very welcoming and friendly and the breakfast was to die for!  The rooms are beautifully decorated, beds comfortable, shower powerful and hot with big fluffy towels. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and know where we'll be heading next time there is a concert on!  Thank you Simon and team :-)

The Angel at Sherston is a lovely old coaching inn, tastefully restored offering a delightful cafe / bistro downstairs and 5 luxury bedrooms upstairs - a super place to stay if visiting the area - quality of the food is 5 star and the staff extremely friendly and professional - highly recommended !

We really enjoyed our night stay at The Angel two weeks ago! 
The decor and attention to detail was second to none and the delicious breakfast we all had in the beautiful courtyard garden was the icing on the cake!!

We booked the Angel for 2 nights for a trip to Wiltshire to see friends and family. Weather was very cold and wet as it was January. The Angel was a delight, lovely old house in the High Street beautifully fitted out in contemporary style and with wood fires in the cafe/sitting area. Room was large and well appointed with long windows and ensuite with excellent shower. Beds really comfortable too. Breakfast delicious and friendly staff. Hard to find fault really. Only downside was no evening meals on Monday and Tuesday during our stay but we went to the Rattlebone and Kings Arms, both close and very good. All in all will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Haven in Sherston

We can’t recommend The Angel highly enough. We originally booked in for one night while visiting friends in Sherston but loved it so much we extended our stay. 
After the smallness of London rooms, we were thrilled with our gorgeous huge room and bathroom. The room was perfect and had a great outlook onto the High Street of Sherston. The restaurant was also fantastic and we enjoyed dinner there as well as breakfasts.
A big shout out to Dave and all the staff at The Angel. They instantly made us feel like locals and couldn’t have been more welcoming. Dave was also extremely helpful in the lead up and recommending the best room for us as my partner is over 6ft (ie. to avoid rooms with low beams). We were so sorry when we had to leave. Even after a short stay, the Angel will always have a special place in our hearts and that’s a testament to Dave and his team.
