We really enjoyed our stay here, the lodge was very clean and had everything we needed to make our stay enjoyable. It is in a great location and not far away from Richmond which we really like exploring each time we travel up there. Cannot fault the lodge we stayed in at all and was great value for money too. Will definitely be staying here again!

Badgers Retreat is a lovely quiet park with everything you need only a few minutes drive away.
However; Please note that the rental lodges are owned by many individual owners and advertised on numerous platforms. 
Sykes, Hoseasons, Booking.com, Wyldecrest etc etc so please checkout the individual reviews as standards vary greatly !

We stayed in The Fairhaven (No 38) and what a surprise. The place is huge and so comfortable. The hosts really have made this a home from home and they are constantly at hand to offer local advice on restaurants and local pubs. We will be back in October. Highly recommended.

we stayed this weekend in maple ridge  what a beautiful lodge and place would definitely recommend had an amazing weekend so close to everything beautiful walk around Ingleton waterfall trail thank you we will definitely be back loved every minute xx

Lovely accommodation and surroundings. Peaceful and very pleasant stay. A lovely meadow walk close by that we did with our dog. Richmond and Catterick Garrison which were close by had plenty to offer. We would recommend Foxglove Covert for a visit.

Badgers Retreat is probably better than when we last visited.. They have now added more lodges up on the hill which look amazing.. Nature just wanders up to your door 24 hours a day.. I've attached a few pics see if you can spot the ducks lol.. 10 Poppy Lodge is still for us as it never fails to impress.

This is a really nice place and well maintained. It is a haven for dogs plenty of walks and they can be let off their lead. The lodge we went in was No10 poppy  Lodge and was very very clean and had everything you need.
Highly recommend. It is very quiet and a perfect place to relax. 

We have just returned from a short stay at The Willows Lodge (Formerly Honeysuckle Lodge).  We have had many lodge short breaks but this was by far the most outstanding.  The lodge was immaculate.  Beautiful clean rooms, comfy beds and lovely decor.  The lodge had everything you could wish for (and more).  The grounds are kept immaculate and the scenery is just beautiful.  A calm, relaxing break - Just what we needed.  We will definitely be booking again for next year and would highly recommend The Willows lodge - 5 stars from us !

Fabulous accommodation, everything provided made our stay comfortable. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable and surprisingly spacious bedrooms, two spotlessly clean bathrooms and lots of homely touches.
We had the perfect stay at Honeysuckle Lodge with our two grandchildren who enjoyed rabbit spotting from the lodge deck on the very peaceful and well kept site (suitable for babies).
Very close to the lovely market town of Richmond (10 mins)  with Castle and museum.  Nearest swimming pool and cinema are in Catterick Garrison (5 mins) as are many restaurants and shops including Tesco, Aldi, Next, Boots & B&M.
The Forbidden Corner is a short drive away (30 mins) and is a wonderful day out for kids.
The owner (Jennie) was very kind and helpful. We had an issue locating keys on arrival which was my fault as I booked through a third party site which held an old phone number, I never received the helpful information Jennie sent pre arrival. Sykes staff were quick to contact Jennie who came immediately to our rescue. 
I would definitely stay at Honeysuckle Lodge again, it’s very well kept, comfortable and in a beautiful location. Would be a great base for cycling or walking this area of Yorkshire.

Stayed in Stag View, lodge 49, excellent lodge,luxurious,quality,2 bedrooms, en suite, + separate bathroom,spacious lounge, open plan dining,great views over countryside, peaceful,relaxing,everything was better than we expected.

Richmond close by, as is Bedale.
Can also recommend Rustique restaurant in Richmond, excellent food and reasonable prices

Great place to Stay

Lodges are advertised  on many different platforms and offer varying levels of luxury/comfort so do your homework.

Lovely pretty location very quiet. We stayed in hidden gem. Fab kitchen well equipped hob not working but was brought a table top hob. Lovely suite very comfy. Comfy beds. Well equipped very clean. Step into shower cubicle far too high. Toilets hard to flush.  Mirror too high in dressing area. Could do with another side table in lounge. Overall very good though

Well what can we say.. if you want to get away from it all for some peace and tranquility this is the place.
We stopped at Poppy Lodge which was immaculate and had everything we needed including a huge Superking size bed, we also had free Netflix and WIFI which  is always a bonus.
We definitely have no problem recommending Badgers Retreat or Poppy Lodge and can't wait to return.

Outstanding 

A beautiful place with beautiful scenery! After a brief phone call with the site warden to get the info we needed we arrived in our caravan/holiday home,  and boy were we pleasantly surprised. The site is very well kept and picturesque, a wonderful weekend away and some fantastic accommodation. I would highly recommend this site to anyone and everyone!
