We have just returned from our week at lou and Greggs perfect cottage. WOW. We knew from reviews Louise is a chef and offeres cooked meals. Recommending booking a cooked meal on your arrival night. ẄOW we were soo amazed having ordered Steak and Kidney Pie Mash and seasonal veg. I choose Apple Crumble and custard abs hubby Apple Pie and custard The meat pie was the best I've ever eaten. The filling was huge chunks of steak and kidney with absolute lush thick gravy. We could not fault any party of our meal bar wee were soo full to bursting afterwards. I only ate half of my pud saving it for another night  I have never been shown round a cottagec before any previous holidays before . But lou was so thorough. I've never stayed anywhere that was so brilliantly equipped.  Lou has tried to think of everything to make your holiday so much easier . Loved the wine fridge. I now want one too.We felt at home at our cottage straight away. Having a secure garden was brilliant ( one of the reasons we picked it) but more so was the enclosed large dog field. We could allow logan a opportunity to stretch his legs before we went out or on return from a day out.An absolute fabulous bonus to dog owners. There is great dog walks to do local to the cottage too. The bed was so comfortable. Both of us enjoying a great night's sleep every night.  Perfect pillows and duvet. Magic is a lit up make up mirror.  The shower is brill, great water pressure abs lots of room on the shelves inside again so well thought out even providing dispencers of shower /hair gel and conditioner. More like a 5star hotel . Towels are lovely and thick. Possibly little small compared to using bath sheets at home.  But that is a tiny tiny bit of feedback. There was everything you could need to cook yourself meals. The pans are really non stick . I followed advice of how to wash and only using plastic utensils as that's how I am at home with my own equipment.  I used the provided slow cooker. Returning to a lovely lamb casserole one day. Great idea Lou !I did take my air fryer as I love this piece of equipment and use it every day.  We also booked an Afternoon Tea for our meal one day and I can only say oh my god its was perfect. We were stuffed after eating it all. Louise is truly a talented chef. We bought her blackberry jam which was so gorgeous and the little shop got me out of trouble when I had forgotten to bring baked beans. Yes they had them!  It seems every tiny idea has been acted on better to help the caravan /campervan visitors and those staying at Journeys End Cottage They also have washing machine/dryers available to use for small fee. The place is kept beautifully throughout The addition of hot tub was very welcome ( another reason at booked ) to sit in relaxing with a glass of wine. PLASTIC only to be used and of course supplied. We did meet with friends for Sunday lunch at the Post and Pint pub in the village. It was ok lots of meat  Great yorkies Roasties and gravy. Veggies sadly over cooked .Please ring to see if open as its limited opening sadly We would have loved to have Lou's Sunday roast but our friends had to get back during the day and her's is offered as evening meal. I know Lou's would have excelled Thankyou Lou and Gregg for making our week so enjoyable
