In such a Lovely Location, the owner Fiona is amazing and very helpful. I was on the tour with the women below and can honestly say she was the vilest person I have ever had the displeasure of meeting, constantly moaning, I guess someone people you cannot please and will always remain miserable! I experience NONE of the things she is listing below. breakfast is a brilliant spread also! best part of the entire B&B has to be the Saint Bernard!!

Three of us stayed here and Fiona was a fabulous host. She was friendly and accommodating at all fines. Comfy beds so we slept well and woke to wonderful views and sunsets over the bridge. Breakfast was delicious with so much choice. I hope to return in the near future. 


Great little b+b with great views of the bridge from our bedroom, clean and comfortable, we would definitely recommend it to anyone.  Good buffet selection at breakfast and delicious homebaking.  We would stay here again :)

Fioana, the hostess has a cozy retreat , making you feel welcomed and comfortable. The rooms were clean. The breakfast was over the top delicious and plentiful. The views from the room were amazing. While there are limited choices for dining the Haakan restaurant next door was a good choice and far away  from the crowds at Portree- highly recommend a stay here.

Amazing breakfast spread and host! Fiona was very kind and gave us recommendations on what to do in Scotland and around Skye. Room was spacious, clean and had an amazing view of the Skye Bridge. Also, the owner's Saint Bernard puppy was just so darn cute! I would stay there again!

Charming location, Fiona was a gracious hostess offered dining suggestions that were spot on.  Room was comfy, bathroom was challenging at first (until we figured out how to operate the plumbing)!  Breakfast was plentiful and quite delicious!  

A relaxing rest after two days of touring, we enjoyed ourselves very much.  Thank you Finona for taking good care of us on our first adventure to your lovely Isle of Skye.  We will be back!

We were on a tour of Skye and this B&B was recommended by the tour company. It is right beside the water with a great view of the bridges. Fiona was a great lady, cheerful and welcoming. We were on the ground floor, double bed with an ensuite. The ensuite was a bit small but we made due. The continental breakfast had lots of offerings ,fruit, cheese, breads, cakes, cereal,smoked salmon and cold meats just to name a few.  The coffee was hot and cold juice as well. The B&B was also right downtown so getting to the pub or restaurant was easy. We enjoyed our stay.

Amazing View from Room

A beautiful and convenient location, but would not recommend overall due to poor communication and hosting from Fiona (B&B host). To summarise:

Pros

- A scenic and gorgeous setting
- Excellent location situated close to mainland Scotland and a close drive to the rest of Skye
- There are lots of good restaurants and gorgeous nature nearby

Cons

- There was room for improvement in the hosting. Specific examples include:
a. We had to ask for a stained towel to be replaced. The towel had around 3 large 5cm in diameter stains which looked like blood stains
b. We asked for a bottle opener, which was not available so we had to procure one ourselves
c. We asked for an extra toilet roll, in addition to the 2 provided originally over 4 nights, but this was not provided until the morning of check out

- The communication was poor, and the host (Fiona) behaved unprofessionally on some occasions. Specific examples include:
a. Even though the host mentioned that she was always available to take calls and the response times on the listing were advertised as within 1 hour, I called her 3 times during my stay and she did not respond until several hours later or the next day when I saw her in person. 1 out of 3 requests was ignored all together
b. The host was very reluctant to give restaurant recommendations
c. The host and I interacted on a daily basis, and the impression I got from our interaction was very positive. I was dismayed and shocked to find out that Fiona described me as 'pushy' in public review which contained very little information, having NEVER raised any issues with me or my parter directly during our entire stay. I felt this was very unprofessional and was particularly upsetting to me because it had ruined my experience and made Fiona, who I thought I got to know and had a wonderful opinion of, seemed very insincere and disingenuous.

Conclusion

The rooms were small and amenities basic, but met our overall needs.  The price was on the high end for what it was, but this seemed in line with the market during peak holiday season in August.

I won't visit Winklebeech as I originally intended because of the poor communication and unprofessional behaviour which I experienced from the host Fiona. I would avoid.

What I thought was a wonderful stay originally ended in the most shocking and unprofessional way

WORST EXPERIENCE ever. 
RUDEST and HORRIBLE owner FIONA with disgusting rooms. 
I stayed there a week ago and left the place with 91 BED BUG BITES all over me. I woke up in the morning with alive bed bugs on me.  TERRIBLE experience. When I asked to change the beddings when I checked in she screamed pushed me out of the room and threatened me to leave at 22:00 at night. The toilet was dirty, insects and bugs all over the walls the cups were filthy you can not drink tea or coffee. All the linens are filthy with lots of stain. I would give minus 1000 to this place. They should not be working like this.
Please think a lot before looking this horrible place.
I have travelled all around the world never seen such an attitude and disgusting place.
