My experience at the hotel was a good one as compared to the other hotels in town. The hotel is located at the hill top giving you a view of the entire Kasese town. You will also be able to catch the warmth of the rising sun while having your breakfast. They have a swimming pool which is something you will not find at any other hotel in Kasese. The meals are quite tasty and you can easily make your order and be rest assured that it will be delivered. Their customer care is good especially when you are served with the a lady such as Stella at the dining. Planning on a trip to Kasese, then Springs should be the place to sleep.

Team building retreat

During our recent stay, Springs International Hotel seemed a lot like a Ugandan version of Fawlty Towers only without the comic genius to make it worth putting up with. Customer-focused service appeared to be against hotel policy and the impression we were given was that guests were a nuisance that distracted from core business – whatever that actually was. The hotel restaurant was the best example of this. A gaggle of staff sat at the edges of the dining room – their attention either buried in their phones or eyeing us suspiciously as though we were illegal squatters. Attempts to obtain service were greeted with an awkward, embarrassed silence of the kind you’d expect if a member of our group had publicly passed wind. Dinner went downhill from there and I needn’t mention the time it took for our food to actually appear (OK, it took nearly 2 hours) – suffice to say that if we stayed again we’d simply go to the restaurant, order, then go back to our rooms and ask them to call us if and when the meal was ready. To be fair, the beds were comfy enough, the AC worked and two out of our three rooms had raging hot water (one had none) which was nice after the mud and grime of the Ruwenzoris. If you do decide to stay at Springs International and go in with low expectations you may come out even.

A Ugandan Fawlty Towers?

Reviews are about expectation being met or not. Clearly, The word "international" was taken literally by this reviewer and as such we had hoped for much better standards. 

The property has amazing views but it appears that the owners ran our of money through the construction process. Rooms are very poorly finished and maintained.

FIFA game, no DSTV, let alone a local channel.

Not enough customers so no breakfast buffet. Eggs, bread, juice. coffee and tea. Jam that was stored with the lid open. Hated to imagine how many cockroaches may have feasted on it.

Wanted chicken and chips but they ran out of chicken, Wanted Indian tea, but they ran out of milk. 

We were demanded payment to use the pool even though we were guest of the hotel. Bring your own towels.Want to use the cushion on the lounging chair? Pay for it!

The pool was not clean as the water line was well below the intake of the filtration system. 

Aircon sounds like a cement mixer.

There is no effort made to cater to customers at all. 

This property has GREAT potential. The operators do not seem to care. 

Keep your expectation low and you may be ok.

Set your expectation very low and you will not be disappointed

We have visited the pool and the bar before we had supper.

The pool attendant is friendly. But the service is poor. Changing rooms are toilets  and they are dirty, the music is incredibly loud, no towels were available. They charge 10.000 UGX p.P - way too much for the poor service.
The restaurant was okay.
The view from the pool area and the restaurant is magnificent, free of charge and needs no service.

The lowest quality of food and service one can imagine, are being offered this hotel's management. Completely rubbish management, 3rd garde rooms n stale food. Would recommend to avoid this crap hotel
