Maninghi Lodge will forever be a favourite in our family. The location is impossible to beat, right on the banks of the Olifants River. We had elephants walking straight past us, in front of the lodge. Victoria and Paul are the most welcoming and expert hosts one could wish for. The birding in this area is exceptional, even in winter you'll see species here that are hard to find elsewhere. After 11 years in Africa I finally managed to see my first trumpeter Hornbills, in the fig tree right in front my room!
