Kasbah Abdou

We hired Abdou for a first time in 2010 as our guide for a trekking and hiking of the Toubkal atlas mountain and surroundings. As this is located close to Marakesh and far from his Kasbah we didn't get here back then. In april 2013 we went for a similar hike with his cook and mule-team through the 'gorges et vallée rose' and for a night in the most beautiful sand dunes of the Sahara. This time his brother Touhami was our guide. Again a genuine and positive experience. Abdou is running his 'trek abdou' company for many years. Very trustworthy - don't expect luxury, but real authentic Maroccan family feel hospitality you cannot find with big touring companies. The kasbah itself was the starting/end point of this trip. It is plain and simple ok. Homemade delicious food as well. Nice walking through the village gardens near the river. A few words (or more :-) of French are very helpful traavelling through Marocco. If it is your first travel to Marocco -> maybe don't forget to fly in some wine in your luggage if you like a glas :-)
