Hotel Acanthid

Went out to Toulon to watch rugby and stayed at the Acanthid. Great location: 10 minute walk from SNCF station, the Harbour and Stade Mayol. Opposite the Opera House and near shops and market. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and, like everyone else in Toulon, wanting to talk rugby. Hotel could do with modernization. The rooms were spartan with no extras - such as kettle or hairdryer and the bathroom poky but did have air conditioning. The walls were thin so noise from next door. Having said all that, wasn't going to spend time in room, the place was spotlessly clean and exceptional value for money.
