Booked this guest house via the internet, as our 3 night stay in Austria. And what a surprise for the price. House is immaculate, facilities include use of a kitchen, free wifi, free parking. The host is very welcoming and polite, room was comfortable and clean and views to die for, most definitely recommend. My sat nav took me straight to the house, set back a few miles from main road but easy access for exploring. 

We booked this B & B online after having driven for several hours from Klagenfurt and having no idea where to spend the night.  Our GPS took us exactly to Haus Schwiegl.  We wouldn't have found it otherwise.  We were greeted by Katrina, the daughter, who spoke perfect English.  She welcomed us and showed us to the cozy room as well as the dining area where we could relax. She lit a fire for us and my wife and I enjoyed a glass of wine and some snacks we had with us.  There was WiFi signal in the dining area. It was almost dark when we arrived. The view of the mountains and the low clouds in the morning was breathtaking.  We enjoyed a sumptuous breakfast, prepared by the owner.  It was delicious.  The bed was extremely comfortable and with nice en suite bathroom.  We would loved to have spent more time there.  Would defiinitely recommend this B & B for a relaxing stay.

What a wonderful place to stay at . 3 min by car from the main road , with outstanding views , clean comfortable rooms , good basic breakfast , and lovely hospitality . Home feeling far from home .
the only downside was that the heating was not working at august , and with 7-8 degrees at night ( YES , at august ) it was needed . ( we understood that this was unusual and unexpected weather at this time of the year )
next time in the tyrol , this will be our place to stay .

Stayed there just for one night on our way from Konigssee Lake to Legoland, We wish we had learned about the place earlier. There are lots of trails and the views are breathtaking. Breakfasts are provided, with yummy homemade jam and honey. The owner lady was very very nice, Although she didn't speak English, it caused no problems at all.

We were looking for a place to stop between Klagenfurt and Stuttgart and we always enjoy small places in the mountains.  We found this place and were interested.  The photos were beautiful.  

Arriving was a bit of an expedition, but GPS did not fail us. The location is as gorgeous as the photos - a high valley in the midst of the mountains.  Amazing scenery and located in a small farming community.  

We were greeted by the daughter and her little baby boy.  She showed us around, provided the key and asked us when we would like breakfast. 

The building with 10 or so rooms was constructed in the early 2000s.  Our room was comfortable with a lovely shared balcony and amazing views. The room was small but functional with comfortable bedding.  There was a good sized closet and table with 2 chairs.  At the entry is a roomy spot to hang your coats (an necessity for winter/skiing travelers).  Also you are asked to leave your shoes at the front or on mats near the room.

Breakfast was good with amazing homemade butter, cheeses and cold meats.  Coffee with milk, orange juice, waffles, jam and honey, rye bread, semmels and rolls.  We had an egg on the second day but not the first (I think she just forgot).

We enjoyed walking through the meadow (saw several deer, enjoyed the sound of the bells on the cattle) and to a nearby waterfall.  The scenery is exquisite.  The mountains, the villages and in the evening the stars!  Wow!

We would certainly return and recommend this place.
