Neuhaus Zillertal Resort

We are annual visitors to the Neuhaus for the last 10 years ( first visiting on our honeymoon in August 1996, returning for our 20th anniversary with our children) and recently began to visit during the ski season too with our 3 teenage boys also. We have observed the hotel in various phases of it's existance and this years visit definately defines it as an incredible accomodation for every kind of traveller. We have noticed various improvements in the last few months, particularly since our last visit in January. The staff that we encountered work very hard. We hope that they will be there on our return. Adam in the beer garden is the most incredible worker and an asset to a business that money just cannot buy! Do everything that you can to keep him on board. He, along with the incredible Katlin are the first faces that customers meet in that garden and they are incredibily efficient and welcoming to everyone who arrives at a table. Judith in the restaurant is another lovely lady. She has a quirky sense of humour that we 'get' and we really enjoy her interactions with us when we eat in the dining room. The general feeling about the place is calm, and relaxed. Just what we want from a holiday. There is definately a huge effort being made to accomodate families with young children and this is certainly a welcome move because parents of young children need a lovely place to holiday too!!! Our dealings with everyone at reception are always incredibly welcoming. Ingrid stops to chat when she can and is extremly efficient in her job! We respect her efforts to stop and say hello and to greet us with a welcoming smile when we check in after our long journey from Ireland. Returning clients is important for a business and every effort should be made to acknowledge that. We got to put a face to the name Celina at last and we got to thank her for her input into ensuring that our bookings and requests are always dealt with in the quickest of time! We love the new portal where we can keep track of our communications with the hotel. It helps us to find everything at the press of a button. Any changes? *We noted that half board guests can self serve more of the starter courses which for us is a good thing. It means that we can set the pace for ourselves a little more although we did find that once 1955 arrived we certainly we were being rushed to finish up and move along. We would never deliberately over stay the allocated time at our table but we were asked to leave at 2000 one evening and at 1000 one morning which we felt was a little heavy handed seeing as we were finishing up anyway. * The half board options have had a few changes made to them but as repeat guests over the years there are some predictable items on it that could perhaps be looked at? *The new BadHaus is an incredible addition to this location. Margo and the other physio therapists are incredible and helped me out with knee and achilles pain. They are certainly an incredible addition to the Neuhaus. As I was carrying knee and achilles injury, I needed to take some days away from walking and would have loved to use the badhaus in the morning and certainly before 1430. Perhaps in time the management might like to consider the opening times and availability of this incredibly expensive addition to the resort. It seems to be closed for a huge part of the day when it could be used by residents. Something to consider, I think. All in, our stay during the beginning of August was just fabulous and the changes made by management and the supportimg teams were certainly noted. We look forward to visiting soon again and hopefully those friendly faces will still be there to say hello! Duffy-Jean Family , Apt #17
