Excellent and very enjoyable stay at the park view  guesthouse  Simon and siobhon are lovely and very accommodating,plentiful breakfast in a morning all from local source/farms plenty to drink too tea ,coffee,apple and orange juice  we will be back would recommend to anyone who is wanting a lovely stay in Scarborough this is the one thanks Simon and siobhon

Stayed at park view from the 18th to 24th of Oct, the room was beautiful,the bed was comfortable,the breakfasts were tasty and plenty of , would recommend staying at this guesthouse, the owners were very accommodating and couldn't help enough to make sure our stay was most pleasant and exalent, we will definitely be back, once again thank you Simon and Siobhan for being brilliant hosts, ta ta for now !

My husband booked this B&B for our 1st Wedding Anniversary and his Birthday (both the same day) 
We had a leisurely drive over on the Friday and arrived slightly sooner than expected. But that was fine after a quick text to Simon to say we’d arrived early.

Parking was across the road and permit only, this was all sorted through the hotel. £1 a day to park, bargain! 

We checked into our room and was given a bigger room on the top floor (Room12) The room was beautifully decorated and clean, lovely bed, a sofa and chair, kettle and tasimo and plenty of tea and coffee supplies.

Simon explained how the breakfast ordering worked, gave us a breakfast menu to tick off what we wanted, and if we didn’t want anything different on the following mornings we would get the same order again each day. 

The shower was stocked with shower gel, towels and plenty of toilet rolls, plus complimentary facial/make up removal wipes too (I always take a packet with me wherever I stay, but loved that little touch)

Saturday morning was our first breakfast, we had opted for the full Yorkshire. The breakfast room was amazing, again beautifully decorated and plenty of choice given. Umpteen different teas, Wholemeal and white bread for toast, jams, marmalades, fruits, yoghurts, cereals, fresh orange and apple juice, you name it! All self service apart from the freshly cooked breakfast that was served once you’d had something from the self selected foods. 

Breakfast was piping hot, eggs cooked to perfection, sausage and bacon cooked just right. Couldn’t fault it. We then headed upto Whitby for the day some 17 miles away, had a great day out. Weather was brilliant and we slept like babies in the comfy bed. Today (Sunday 6th October) I opted for one of the specials from the breakfast list, this was Scrambled Egg and Chorizo served on a toasted english muffin, served beautifully by Siobhan.  It was sooo tasty, glad I’d decided to try something different. 

Check out was 10.30am but we left shortly after 9.15am due to a 3 hour drive back.  On departure we handed our keys back to Simon and thanked him for a fabulous stay. Now my only recommendation, and this hasn’t knocked off any STARS 🌟 was that our room had no vanity mirror on the dressing tablet. It had a beauty huge mirror over the bed, and of course in the bathroom. But with someone with long hair who likes to wand it every other day, my cord/wire didn’t stretch far enough in the bathroom to use that mirror. But I managed to do it blindly which was good. I did suggest a vanity mirror that could be stored out of sight and placed in a drawer out of the way when not being used. But that was my only recommendation as I couldn’t fault our stay otherwise.

Siobhan & Simon were the perfect hosts, we travelled 9 hours from the west country to stay in Scarborough, and what a joy it was... The rooms were beautiful, lovely quality furnishings, spotlessly clean, and superb breakfast at no extra cost, exceptional value for money, lovely location, what more could you ask for, nothing was to much trouble, just a perfect stay, thankyou to you both....

Lovely  people  that run this bed and breakfast are just so nice and friendly if you need any thing just ring  bell so quiet  and peaceful  got a good night's  sleep  bed nice and cosy  comfortable  room with lovely  large TV and shower  breakfast lovely ..

It was in the perfect location for me, close to the Open Air Theatre where I was going on the Friday evening but also close to North Bay, which was lovely. Siobhan and Simon were so friendly and accommodating, got my room ready for when I arrived a little earlier than check-in and there was cold water and fresh milk available, which was really nice. Great spot if you like the quieter side of Scarborough.

Lovely stay here for a couple of nights. Friendly welcome and loved the decor, all to a high standard and tasteful. Also the breakfast was great, smashed avo on sourdough and poached egg for me or full Yorkshire for him ! Eggs, meat etc.  locally sourced and you could help yourself to cereal, toast, yogurt etc. Peasholm park right across the road and also bars, restaurants and convenience store nearby. Had the best ever fish and chips sitting in Peasholm Park. Wonderful after just completing the Cleveland Way.

Simon and Siobhan are the friendliest hosts imaginable and nothing was too much trouble. The decor is absolutely beautiful with real attention to detail. The breakfasts are delicious and clearly cooked fresh to order. There’s plenty of choice with fresh local produce including farm bacon and sausages and free range eggs. We had originally booked for 5 days but enjoyed or stay so much we stayed for another 2 days. We will definitely be returning!! Well done to them both they deserve all the luck in the world 👏🏻

Excellent place to stay. Simon was friendly and attentive. Excellent location, it looks on to Peasholme Park and is a 5 minute walk to the Scarborough open air theatre. Our room was very clean & smelt lovely. Would recommend staying here. We will definitely be back. Thank you.

A lovely guest house in perfect location distance to Peasholm Park (less than a minute walk), the beach (5 minutes walk), and the open air theatre (5 minutes walk). We choose to have breakfast £10 each day per person but was worth the money. There is a great Chip Shop over the road as well. Parking is on the street but is £1 for a day permit (you get this when checking in) or a small car park just over the road is available. 

Simon and Siobhan were brilliant hosts, full of recommendations. We would definitely go back if we go to the open air theatre again.

Lovely Guest House

An absolute gem! Simon and Siobhan have created a wonderful haven for a relaxing break in Scarborough.  Everything of such high quality, from the food to furnishings. Positioned next to the beautiful Peasholm Park, with the stunning Marine Drive linking the North and South Bays just a stroll away. Restaurants and coffee shops close by. Handy for the awesome Outdoor Theatre where Elton John, Sting, Olly Muirs and many more perform. Scarborough is surrounded by the wonderful North York Moors, Herriot and Heartbeat Country, and Park View couldn't be in a better position to explore them all. 

A little gem! 

Stayed in room 5 which had a lovely bay window view into the local park! Very clean and comfy bed! 

Breakfast was fantastic, all needs catered for! 10/10 for dinning room decor!

Location of the hotel is fantastic 5 mins walk to the beach very centre, 10 mins walk to train station to Whitby and York!  

Simon and Siobhan the owners were lovely and couldn’t do enough to make you feel at home!  

Can’t wait to return with the rest of the family!
