On passing through Yoxford we decided to stop at the Griffin Inn for a drink and lunch. Because of the dreaded virus that’s about it was almost devoid of customers. However, we were warmly greeted and we asked if they were  serving food. . We opted for the sandwiches which were freshly made and tasted so good. A quaint old style pub and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit. On the A1120 just before you get to the A12.

Always a great night spent here. Friendly staff, good food, and great beers on tap, what more can you ask for? They have a great menu and are very accommodating. Nice to see someone running a place where you feel so at home.

OldSkool club night 

Everything and everybody including staff and locals! We couldn’t have been more welcomed, especially bringing our dog who was totally spoilt and comfortable with our stay over two nights. The room was perfect, spacious, clean and cosy! Miranda was the most friendliest and genuine person, who went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Breakfast was fab (and our dog enjoyed a sausage 😜) and as for dinner, wow! Can’t wait to book another stay with the griffin inn! 10/10!!! Coralie, Jamie and Arnie x

Had a lovely meal here tonight with friends, The staff and manager were very friendly and made us feel welcome and kept us laughing non stop! 
Food was delicious and great value for money. 
We all will be coming back very soon!

Can’t comment on the food, as we haven’t had a meal here, but the welcome is friendly, the beer is good, the pool table works, and dogs are welcome. Parking is available on site and it would be a good place to stay for touring.

Great, friendly pub

The Griffin is a charming 16th Century Inn with spacious accomodation and a welcome that is second to none. Breakfast is first-class, and all requests were catered for. Evening meal was eqully good. The dining area is very comfortable and homely. The landlady is cheerful and extremely helpful, and the atmosphere in the bar was friendly and welcoming.

Good, honest inn with great service!

We had booked this back in April for a friends wedding through Airbnb for three of us to stay there on 19th and 20th July. I would not have known this if I hadn't rung to double check the booking. They refused to take any responsibility for this error and were not willing to offer any solution when there was one. I would avoid booking here in case you do have any issues not because of the cancellation but the poor customer service and attitude of this was not their problem.

I rung up on 17th July and spoke to Sarah one of the barmaids who could not see the booking in their book but was going to check with her manager and let me know the next morning. In the meantime I messaged the host that night after not feeling confident, the host came back it was all booked.

The next morning they had doubled booked and we could not stay there. The manager Chloe did call me later on the evening of the 17th and was quite stand offish from the start. She said it was Airbnb's fault and not their issue which I disagreed with as they decide to advertise their bnb on Airbnb and I could booked with any other third party site but they should be organised enough to have their calendars synced it is the business owner's responsibility to manage their booking system and how that feed through to them. 

It is frustrating not only for the cost and the additional time spent trying to find an alternative but also now we will miss parts of our friends ceremony as their wedding is over three days.

AVOID! Cancelled on us 2 days before our Check in date

Went to the Griffin last night, both decided on the sirloin steak (well done) it was so tender we didn't even need a steak knife, with the home made onion rings, nice chunky chips and a lovely salad, we will be back again for sure

Anniversary meal

We are here tonight and had an excellent family meal, the bar staff and waitress were very accomodating and friendly. In particular the pies were extremely tasty . We would definitely eat here again .

A shame because the staff were very nice and the food was good, but the place was extremely noisy. It was like staying above a packed night club on both Saturday and Sunday night, not good at all if looking for sleep or quiet relaxing.
