The White House Hotel

TRULY SUPERB on all counts. George & Ruth have taken on an epic journey restoring this wonderful hotel with their vision being beautiful on all points. This was a last minute one night stay with us due to arrive 11pm-mdnight but in the end it was 1.20am! Still George met us with a smile and showed a tired family to our newly restored family bedroom (which was actually 2 bedrooms linked by a small entrance hallway with the smaller one having 2 bunks for the little folk). All 3 beds were really comfy with lush bedding and fun pirate boats on the children's duvet. The children's room felt very much like the bedroom in Mary Poppins - such fun. Bedroom facilities were all quality with a small bottle of fresh milk, hot chocolate, tea, coffee, vanity kit, shower cap and honey shower gel/shampoo. After a very comfortable 8 hours sleep we had a powerful shower and then went down for breakfast. There was a choice of continental for a reasonable £5 each or full English cooked breakfast for £10. We opted for the continental breakfast which consisted of homemade smoothy, choice of cereal, fruit platter, juice and hot drink options all of which were presented nicely. I needed to do some work until 12.30pm so was offered use of the TV Room that had desk and good quality WiFi. Both Ruth & George were very personable and took plenty of time talking to us. Their vision and passion for this beautiful guest house shone through. Thank you both. Overall it's a definite 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
