Perfect location , so many of the main tourist attractions on your doorstep , so ideal for first time visitors wanting to cram it all in and have a quick rest at the hotel before the next hill or flight of steps . We booked a castle view room and requested a higher floor and a quiet room . The castle view was beautiful. The room had a water dispenser outside , which was handy for refilling our bottles and also for tea making . Full range of teas in the room , plus coffee and biscuits , everything was replenished each day . Comfy bed and choice of pillows . Good soundproofing from outside noises , although if you are a light sleeper you may still want earplugs , as there are general hotel noises through the night from guests doors etc . Really well equipped room , hand and body wash , shampoo and conditioner and body lotion next to each shower, bath, sink . Then complimentary extra lip conditioner and hand lotion in smaller sizes . A lovely note and chocolate for my husband’s birthday . Bath robes and slippers, hairdryer and even an ironing board and iron if you needed . Even the little touches like a pen and noteblock which were so handy. The room was clean ( apart from a little mould at the bottom of the shower seal if I’m being really picky , but I’m sure they would have sorted it if I had been bothered ) . When I asked for fresh milk for teas they bought it up to the room , and another day gave it to me at breakfast . Talking of which breakfast was delicious. It initially looks smaller than many hotel offerings , a cooked section at one end and a continental selection the other . However the fresh orange juice was beautiful each day , and the cooked to order breakfast menu the star of the show . Really tasty dishes , very quickly prepared and generous amounts . The staff were without exception helpful and friendly. Luggage was looked after for us prior to checking in , and again after check out the last day . The lobby also had a juice and water dispenser throughout the day . Really pleased with our choice of hotel , also convenient for the airport transfer , an Uber cost us £25 on the way to the hotel and £33 on the way back and took about 35 minutes.
