The Courtyard Laurel Farm

The Courtyard is a fabulous place to stay. Set in very tranquil surroundings, it is so peaceful. The rooms are immaculate, large with very comfortable beds, a small dining table, chairs, TV, excellent WiFi, fridge and microwave. The bathroom in our room was a large wet room with shower, complimentary toiletries and plenty of fresh soft towels. Also available in an adjacent building, is a small well equipped kitchen with hob, oven and grill. There are plates, bowls etc and cutlery as well as a sink for your convenience. The hosts are so friendly and helpful, explaining everything and offering advice on the beautiful walks which are easily accessible from the farm. We were made to feel so welcome and I cannot recommend The Courtyard highly enough, we will certainly be staying here whenever we travel to Lowestoft.

Perfect stopover whilst visit friends in the area.  Excellent spacious accommodation with all the comforts plus the addition of a fridge & microwave,  tea & coffee making facilities with fresh milk being a nice touch.
There is an outside area with table & chairs to enjoy the sunshine if required.  Breakfast excellent, beautifully served in the conservatory.  Janet & Kevin were excellent hosts, great find which we highly recommend if staying in this area.  

We stayed as a couple for four nights.  Janet and Kevin were great hosts, the breakfast each morning was excellent and there was a good choice of food.  The room was quiet and peaceful.  The property was quiet and rural but just a short drive to amenities.
It was nice to have a fridge and a microwave in the room, we made use of both.
The WiFi did drop a few times but it wasn't a problem and it was free.

Stayed here for a few days recently. Lovely large rooms with all the conveniences you would need, including Wi-Fi. Janet was a great host, very helpful and accommodating. The farm is in a quiet area outside of Lowestoft, but only a 10 minute drive to Lowestoft center. A great place to stay if you want to explore Norfolk/Suffolk areas.

This was our second visit and stay in the family room. Breakfast is excellent with a wide variety of fruit, juices, and cooked items. The rooms are very quiet and well equipped with microwave, fridge, etc. The full hospitality tray including milk and water was well received. Plenty of high quality toiletries and hair dryer also provided. We will definitely stay again if we are in the area as it is a great location and Janet and Kevin could not be better hosts.

We spent three nights in the family room, which comfortably accommodated my wife and I, plus our two children (13 & 11).

The welcome from Janet & Kevin was very warm and friendly.  Our room was lovely, with lots of space and very clean / well presented.  Breakfast (in the conservatory overlooking the walled garden) each morning was excellent, with a wide selection of cereals, fresh fruit, and delicious cooked food.

The location was perfect for exploring the local area, just a short drive from all local amenities, yet far enough out of town to be very quiet and peaceful.

We highly recommend this place and it's lovely owners/hosts.  Thank you Janet & Kevin for a wonderful stay.

My wife and I had a very comfortable two night stay.Accommodation was very clean, comfortable and spacious.Very friendly host (Janet) who made every effort to enshore we were happy with the delghtful accomadation .I have mobility problems ,janet made sure my mobility needs were met even offering to bring breakfast to our room if i had problems getting to the dinning room in the house.
We did have breakfast in the main house, the food was well presented and tasty.
Will certainly be returning when next visiting our friend who lives in lowestoft.


Located very close to lowerstoft and the broads laurel farm is courtyard accomadation with huge spacious rooms. 
Every detail has been carefully thought out to give as much comfort possible.  Bed was so comfortable it was effort to get up in the morning.  Heating was great with plenty of hot water.   Convenient parking on site .
Excellent value .   Highly recommend. 

My partner and I stayed here for one night to visit family nearby. What a find! Amazing accommodation, friendly hosts, close to town but rural enough to feel like you have stepped out of the rat race.
Everything about this B&B is perfect!
Guests are invited to walk around the garden or make use of the conservatory, which we didn’t as it was winter, however I imagine it is stunning in the summer.
We stayed in Bee Field, which had a soft, very comfortable king size bed, seating area and TV, dining table, kitchenette area with tea, coffee etc, and a microwave and fridge. Fresh milk was supplied in the fridge.
The bathroom was a wet room, so would be perfect for someone with limited mobility.
It is a farm, so don’t be put off by the entrance and the other farm buildings, which are crumbling (but make fantastic photo opportunities). You will not regret booking a stay here. Please keep it to yourself though as we want to be able to come back 😉

Excellent accommodation. Large, comfortable rooms to suit a range of group sizes, including one specifically modified for disabled. Very welcoming and approachable hosts. Very good and satisfying breakfasts.

Little Gem!

A very comfortable stay in a large family room with good facilities, excellent large bath/shower en suit. Fantastic breakfast provided in lovely old farmhouse adjacent  to all the rooms, really enjoyed my stay.
