Talbot Hotel

Great staff and a great manager, as well as good food, can be had at the bar. The rooms were clean and tidy, and all the staff was extra friendly made my stay here very welcoming thank you. 
I will be returning and I look forward to it very much.

We were a party of 4 & had a  lovely variety of bar meals, 2  people in the party had Gammon with eggs, chips and peas, one had the chicken pie with mushrooms, with new potatoes and veggies, the other had Pork with cream /cider sauce, with apple mashed potatoes, “which was excellent” with veggies.   Would recommend!!!  We are definitely coming back!!!!   Things are improving at the Talbot!!!!!!!   About time.  We came here many years ago.went downhill for awhile   Hoping it’s going to be wonderful again like the past!!!!!

Before I start can I say a massive thankyou to Shane the attendant he made us feel so welcome and feel as if we were locals instantly remembering everybodys names nothing was to much trouble to him keep up the good work the talbot should be proud to have you

The hotel is perfectly located in the centre of leominster up on arrival we found the place was an old country place with the wooden beams and a coal fire the rooms were very similar but could do with a lick of paint the place was pretty dead but after speaking with locals it was under new management and is trying to rebuild the place to it's former glory as the previous people ran it to the ground I saw Beth (manager) a number of times whilst I was there and I can say she's a stickler for detail.
Myself and the wife had a meal whilst we was there I can't complain the food was lovely 
I will be calling again keep chugging on Beth you'll get it there

Came to Leominster on our end-to-end challenge journey (John O Groats to Lands end). Received excellent service from the bartender (the locals call him Brummy, the accent was a giveaway) Lovely chap. Clean environment, even let us charge all of our devices so no complaints. Cosy little bar with a good atmosphere! Definitely check it out.

This hotel was lovely! 

Came down with my family and everyone was very happy with everything including their rooms which were very clean and warm! 
I would like to thank the staff at Talbot who were very kind and friendly, all of you made my stay that much better.
In terms of food, we ate at the hotel during our stay and everyone was pleased with their meals, they were well presented and tasted equally as good. 

Would definitely come again and recommend to anyone after our pleasant experience :)

Old fashioned hotel (im a nice way) but clean and tidy and friendly staff. Great location right in the middle of leominster. Town very quiet though at the moment! Would stay there again... thanks for having us 

I have been visiting this hotel for an evening meal at least twice a month for the last 6 months. I can recommend this hotels restaurant highly the staff are very friendly and cant do enough to help. The food quality is excellent, I have eaten there with a group of people from 17 -30 each time and I have not  had one meal or desert that I can find any fault with any of them. Beth the manageress goes out of her way to make sure everything done to make sure you have a great visit. I consider the service and meals provided are good value for money and I will continue visiting this restaurant.

Noticed as walking past The Talbot a sign reading "New chef" plus special price for Sunday lunch. We thhought only fair to try for a third time after our last bad experience. I know the manageress, name Libby I think, tries hard to put things right. Well, the roast beef last Sunday was excellent, meat veggies and gravy. Service as always good. Congratulations to Nigel (he chef) I heard another couple saying they had enjoyed the turkey.

Stayed here over a weekend.  The reasonably priced rooms are comfortable and spotlessly clean, and the staff are helpful and friendly. Don't be put off by the dark and dingy reception area, it belies the true charm of a rabbit warren of an creaky old hotel. The food is excellent, with top quality local produce on the menu.  Again, don't be fooled by the 2 meals for £10 offer on the bar menu - the food is of a much higher standard than this might suggest.  Yes, the décor could be updated, but that did not detract from our stay.
As it is in the town centre, it is easy to get caught up in the one-way system, so maybe use a sat nav to reach it, if you can.

Lovely Place and Staff

3 night stay from 18 dec.Hotel was probably out of routine due to xmas.We agree with some comments,the hotel could do with a full refurbishment,but if you are warm,comfortable and fed,so what.The staff were pleasant and attentive and nothing is to much trouble attitude.The bar menu was short but food was good,nice steaks..It was so nice to have a fatfree full English breakfast.We must try Morrisons fat free full English with a pot of coffee and 2 rounds of toast with spreads for £8.50.We would like to thank all the staff for making our stay enjoyable.
