The Barn At Collacott

We’ve stayed in a few barns over the years but this friendly b&b is really special. There are two bedrooms which have a view of the moors in the distance. We were made very welcome. Everything is to a high specification, the bed really comfortable and there is a shared lounge if you don’t want to stay in your room. The breakfast was excellent with different diets catered for. All in all an excellent place to stay in North Cornwall.

We had a great time at this b&b! The b&b itself is beautiful and situated in a wonderfull countryside landscape. What made it really special and unforgetable were Helen & John, the most friendly hosts we meet during our round trip in southeast England. Neither the kids, nor my wife and i wanted to leave… er highly recomend a stay here, especially for families!

We have stayed at Collacott several times and have recommended it to others too.
We love the beautifully appointed rooms, peaceful location, delicious breakfast, friendly and helpful hosts, cosy lounge area with woodburner for evenings in cooler seasons and nice outdoor space for warmer weather.

What a fantastic B&B. Lovely en-suite room with beautiful views and spotlessly clean. Very warm welcome from our hosts, Helen and John who couldn't do enough for us, you are really looked after here. The party meal on Sunday was terrific!  And the beautiful lounge with the wood burner, was just right for an afternoon rest after lunch. Thoroughly recommend you visit here, you wont want to leave.

The Barn is what a fantastic B&B! one of the best, if not the best we have stayed in, John and Helen are great hosts and couldn't do enough. The Breakfast was outstanding ( Dam you John for perfect poached eggs) would highly recommended, our stay was far to short, for the short time we were there, just perfect. We are looking forward to going back.

This cottage is absolutely stunning! Helen and John are really lovely and kind -  you feel really looked after here.  The views are amazing and very close to BUDE beach (only 20 min drive) - I would have no hesitation to recommend this place to any of my family and friends….

We stayed two nights at The Barn and were impressed by the high quality of this B&B. The place is wonderful, it’s cosy and Helen makes you feel at home straight away. The bedroom was huge, the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom had both a bath and a shower! The breakfast was exquisite, both the continental options as well as the English breakfast. I would definitely stay again any time I’m in Cornwall.

We stayed with Helen & John this weekend in The Hare room, spotlessly clean with lots of lovely touches, coffee and brownie on arrival, bedding was beautiful as was the view.
Finished off with the best breakfast ever!!

Had an overnight stay whilst visiting family in the area. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer!

Had a lovely 2 day stay with John and Helen in the Barn. The barn and our room was beautifully comfortable and spotless. The setting was exactly what we needed (gorgeous countryside and the sea nearby)
Breakfast was outstanding and Helen was very accommodating when we self catered for dinner.

Excellent peaceful stay

Wow, what else is there to say.  We received an email just before we were due to set off giving us detailed directions and contact number should we experience any difficulties.  This set the tone for the rest of our stay, nothing was too much trouble, a quick text or a message on the blackboard resulted in all our wishes being granted.  The whole barn looked brand new but is actually 5 years old.  Fantastic room and en-suite.  Covid precautions are excellent and easy to follow.  Helen and John appreciated breakfast requests the evening before.  When you went down for breakfast the table was laid with fresh cut fruit, different yogurts (plain and fruit) and cereals.  By the time you had enjoyed this part of the breakfast your cooked order was ready.  Well done John, your cooking was excellent, always hot and beautiful runny yolks (both fried and poached).  Again excellent selection of options for a cooked breakfast.  Hot toast and lovely butter.  Not to forget the fresh juice, tea and coffee!!  Helen was always available with suggestions on where to eat and they were good.  Cannot say enough kind things about this venue, Thank you Helen and John.

We stayed at the Barn for two nights,we should have booked longer.
The peaceful position was perfect.
Helen and John made us very welcome and nothing was too much trouble.
Our room was excellent with a very luxurious en-suite.
Breakfast was the best we’ve had in any holiday accommodation.

Perfection 

We arrived feeling exhausted after 60 miles of cycling and over 5000ft of hill climbs! The warm and welcoming hospitality was second to none -      a true home away from home. Absolutely the best B & B we have ever stayed in. Fantastic attention to detail and amazing food. Hope to make a return visit one day.

We were here again for the third time.....say no more!   Nothing here to dislike....nothing is too much trouble ,....nothing at all to quibble about.......just a perfect farm to enjoy complete relaxation in the Cornish countryside.  
Praise is unconfined for the comfort,food and general ambience!   We have booked for next year.....say no more!
And this year ,John and Helen arranged for decorative red cows and two calves to wander around the field below our balcony......that was a lovely thought!
