Sunnymeade Country Hotel

We were very fourtunate to stay at the Sunnymeade Guest House near Woolscombe in early June. The hosts are very nice and helpful. The rooms are superbly clean and what view we had over the countryside. There food was excellent, its a pity we didn't take advantage of this everyday. We would definitely recommend this as a place to stay. Thank yoiu for such an enjoyable time.

We stayed for a week and found it an ideal place to visit the local resorts and places of interest. The hosts, Tim and Lisa, are very welcoming and helpful. The  room was very good and kept well cleaned and serviced. The breakfasts are veried and well presented.  We recommend this B&B very highly.

A very warm welcome when my wife & I arrived. The hotel and room was very well decorated and well-maintained. The cooked breakfast was very nice too! I can’t fault our experience and will definitely avail myself of Tim’s & Lisa’s hospitality again!

My husband booked a 2 night stay here as a surprise break for my birthday. 
The bedroom was clean, with lovely views of the garden and was perfect for our short stay.
Breakfast for delicious, it was served piping hot and everything was so tasty. 
Tim and Lisa are very welcoming hosts & very friendly. And I was very touched to receive a card and chocolates from them on my birthday. 
Would definitely recommend this hotel and will definitely be booking to stay again.

We have returned from our second stay at Sunnymeade. Tim and Lisa are brilliant hosts with nothing to much trouble for them. Our room was spacious as was the bathroom, very bright and clean with views over the nearby countryside. The choice of breakfast was very good and extremely well cooked. Sunnymeade is in an excellent location for visiting Woolacombe and other coastal beaches etc. We would recommend to anyone.

A fantastic location great hosts lovely breakfast was pleased to see there was plenty of parking a good thing was there was a fridge for guests to use which was handy as I had bought a takeaway cream tea there was a lovely garden for guests to use

From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel so welcome, even our dog Max had his own towel! Enclosed garden was perfect and would be fab in the warmer months too! Great base for exploring local area, will definitely return! The owners Tim and Lisa were friendly and attentive, nothing was any trouble for them.

Great guest house, very well located to explore North Devon.
The owners, Tim and Lisa are very friendly and accommodating. I am coeliac and need to eat gluten free. This was not a problem at all. The breakfast was very nice and you can choose what you would like to eat on a daily basis. Currently due to covid restrictions, Lisa serves you and nothing is too much trouble. Tim, once finished cooking, comes out and interacts with the guests which is a nice touch. 
The rooms are en suite and are clean and comfortable. There is tea and coffee making facilities in the rooms and WiFi. 
We stayed for three nights and explored all our favourite places in the area. We will definately return when the chance arises for another break away.

Clean and comfortable room with countryside views. Excellent breakfast. Good location for touring local  beaches. Hosts Tim & Lisa were very attentive. Would certainly recommend to those contemplating a visit to North Devon.

Just returned today from a four-night stay at this guest house. Proprietors Tim and Lisa are very friendly and accommodating and made an effort to chat with all guests about the trips they had done and were planning. The property is well situated for touring the North Devon coastal area and beaches and the breakfasts are excellent.

Reasonably priced guest house in a good location for touring.

We had a lovely one night stay. Sunnymead is a lovely little B&B. Breakfast order taken to your specification and cooked at your booked in slot. The hosts and very kind and very welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. Because of Covid restrictions you are served at breakfast and waited on hand and foot. Great location for exploring too. Woolacombe was lovely. Would definitely recommend :)

A Lovely Guest House

You often get advice from friends and acquaintances to visit a place, this place was one of them, the advice was friendly and warm welcominghosts, great quiet location for touring around the area, great food, clean and tidy rooms, a note of care taken with the little things. Chef comes out of the kitchen to chat with the guests (when time permits). Nothing too much trouble, just to ask. Thanks Tim, Lisa and Bec
A sense of family, within the guest house, mainly due to it being run by a family.
I would recommend this guest house just like the person who invited me to visit. 
I read a couple of reviews which were dubious and after asking the guest house about the reviews it seems that they were caught being un-guest like and found there only response to their actions to post nasty remarks, sad really but a pinch of salt to any negative remarks on any reviews about this place as I wouldn’t take any heed to their nonsense. Use your noggin...

A rest required - South West Coast Path

Just spent 3 nights in this fantastic, super affordable b&b a 10min drive from Woolacombe town centre. Room was a generous size, great WiFi and a superb breakfast. This is a very dog friendly place and he got treats and a towel for himself on arrival. The owners are super friendly and it was a fantastic find. We’ll definitely be back!
Temperature was checked on arrival due to COVID.

Fantastic dog friendly b&b near Woolacombe

We stayed here 2 years ago and came back this year as we loved it so much, so well looked after by Tim & Lisa. Cannot do enough for you. Delicious fresh cooked breakfast and lovely airy room! Perfect location if you want to spend your time in the surrounding towns etc. Easy access to Woolacombe beach to. Lots of taxis available to take you there as well. 

Will be returning again next time we’re in Devon :) thank you for such a lovely stay once again!
