Came across the white hart by chance So glad we did The food was delicious tasty and well presented The service was professional and friendly The restaurant was clean and covid safe what a lovely evening out would highly recommend

A little Gem

We found this on a hotel search site. We thought that the price seemed very reasonable ,and upon looking at their website booked it for one night .We cannot say how pleased we were the pub/hotel ,after being greeted at the door by the owners they showed us to our room No1 .The room was superb fresh well decorated and spotlessly clean ,I could not have wished for more .The restaurant was also spotless and soft music was played during our wholesome meal .A good choice of beer was on tap and a well stocked wine cellar as well .The breakfast was superb double everything ,if you wanted it .All this for £100 a night ,wonderful. The location is in the country but central for Sidmouth ,Honiton, Lyme Regis and Branscombe  . I think rooms 2 and 3 have a outside hot tub ,but that may be for a little more money .

An Overnight stay before going on to Salcombe .

Very dog friendly 2 night stay. Inga and Steve were fantastic hosts, amazing food, definitely will return. Arrived Sunday lunchtime, had pre booked lunch, both opted for the roast beef, not disappointed. Monday night we opted for a  number of starters, again delicious.   After the breakfast on Monday we needed a very long walk to work off that, fantastic.

We'll be back, both Beddlingtons too. As we arrived the boys were greeted with a fresh bowl of water and a dog bed. Us a bottle 

What an absolute gem! We just enjoyed a fabulous evening meal here. We had two children with us (10 and 6). There is no kids menu but they were happy to make whatever the children wanted! Hats off to the chefs. Ours went with macaroni cheese and sausages and chips - both polished their plates off! The adults had steak and a combination of starters as they all sounded so delicious, again clean plates. Brownies and sundaes for dessert, all homemade and delicious. The service is impeccable and Steve had a wonderful way with the children. The 6 year old said as we left ‘Steve is the best man I’ve ever seen!’ It’s very rare to find such wonderful service. I wish we were more local but I’d happily travel here with the children again. I wish them every success.

An evening to remember

The owners of the The White Hart have gone above and beyond to make this a fabulous place to stay. The beer and food, especially the breakfast are superb. The rooms are very clean, and have everything you could wish for even down to fresh milk in a mini fridge for the tea and coffee. The staff are polite and attentive. We will definitely be back when visiting our grandson at Exeter university.

What a gem

My wife and I, who live locally, have visited here on several occasions and are extremely impressed with the service and quality of the food. The team behind this work well together and have invested great effort in achieving the high standard.

Evening Meal

Highly rated restaurant took out booking at short notice, fitting us in on a Monday night.
We did have a longer wait for food then we would like, but our burgers, when arrived redeemed the wait; good quality, excellent home made onion rings and the tomato based burger relish was very very good and had a home made taste.

Staff were clearly working hard to look after the customers.
Nice decor, overall nicely done, would have been 5 star without the long wait.

I might be a little bit over excited now but I don’t remember ever having a better burger or banoffee pie than the ones at the White Hart. We had to stop the kids licking their plates clean. Excellent service and well maintained decor. Worth going out of your way for a visit.

Tremendous

We stopped for lunch and we had Excellent food and service. Well worth the money. All meals were delicious and the cheese board had a good variety. The venue itself was clean and spacious with covid practices in places. Highly recommended... 

Lovely lunch time meal.. 

Modernised beautifully, friendly welcome and attentive service. Outside areas spacious and comfortable.  Dinner was very nice, we wished we had booked here for the night instead of a hotel further down the hill.  We will be back another time.
