Oakdown Court B&B

Oakdown Court is by far the best B&B I have ever stayed at, in the UK. From the moment you arrive, you notice how much love and devotion has gone into the place. So much attention to detail, where old meets new and really compliments each other. The inside of the B&B is very modern with modern bathroom facilities, clean and no expenses spared. The bedroom I stayed in was beautifully decorated with old period pieces, which just worked in the setting. I must admit to taking a few photos to show my wife how beautiful the decor was and how carefully it was thought out! Waking up the next morning to the sound of birds in the trees was just so peaceful and perfect, ifbit was not for my busy business trip I was on, I could have easily extended my stay for a week. The next morning I enjoyed a lovely continental style breakfast with homemade granola and homemade jams...it just could not be any fresher...all lovingly prepared by Sarah. After breakfast I left to collect one of my colleagues where he stayed at a local hotel and to say I had picked the better place to stay at, is the understatement of the year. Oakdown Court B&B oozes with tranquility and is owned by a lovely, trusty, welcoming lady, who just could not do enough to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Thank you Sarah, a lovely place you have and I will recommend you to all my international colleagues visiting for business and holiday. You get 5 stars from me.
