Maple Cottage with Hot Tub near Cupar, Fife

Visited here in January with my wife as every January we go away to one of Solid Luxury’s sites and this year decided on this one as we have not really explored Fife. On arrival we were met by a member of staff as the lodge we had booked was having water issues but he directed us to our new one which turned out to be an upgrade to the beautiful Cherry Blossom cottage. It was stunning. It was massive inside with a huge bathroom well decorated and a free standing bath. The hot tub was located to the front but still private. The only thing we did notice was the last night the hot tub was not very warm but the heating in the cottage had also been off so don’t know if there had been an issue that day when we were out. This site is well located in Fife with only short drives to Cupar, St Andrews and also Dundee. We went walking each day and if you like a nice challenging walk try Kingsbarn to St Andrews (Walk Highlands website) or for a bit easier there is a nearby walk from Cupar to the Hopetoun monument. On site there are a couple of llamas and little goats (they love an apple) and there was also some young cattle in the shed. The laundry room also stocks games and DVDs if you need them. With regards to internet for us there was none. We just couldn’t get a signal anywhere in the cottage so if you require internet then this may be an issue for you but to be honest didn’t really bother us. The kitchen had everything you will need and the log burner kept us toasty at night. Only thing we needed was more matches and after calling someone was out almost immediately with them. Great service. Highly recommend here for a nice break.
