Partner and friends were booked in as cycling C2C. I had been drafted in at last minute Catherine and David were most accommodating and managed to fit me in, thankfully. Spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable bed and a great breakfast before setting off for the final leg.  Secure parking for bikes and vehicles. Great hosts and a lovely welcoming place would highly recommend. Thank you so much!

Dene view an excellent B&B to stay at with good parking. Nice rooms and great breakfast. The rooms are clean and well appointed with comfortable beds. Well located with lots to see within 25 mile radius. Would highly recommend to anyone wishing to use as a base to explore the area.

Stayed at this wonderful b&b again when I came to visit my family for a christening. This is an amazingly friendly family run business and they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The rooms are lovely, with a good bathroom. Breakfast is second to none and super tasty. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when I'm in the area. Such value for money. Can't recommend this place enough. Definitely 5☆☆☆☆☆

Big thank you to Catherine n dave for an excellent overnight stay wile on our c2c bike ride the rooms were immaculate very clean the full English breakfast was jus the start we needed definitely recommend any one passin thru to pop in an see for themselves

Having had a very long walk from Blanchland, we were very happy to set our weary eyes on Deneview. Catherine didn’t even ask us to remove our boots. Everything about this stop was just right. A very comfortable room, and an excellent breakfast

My son and I spent one night at Deneview. We arrived exhausted after a long cycle ride, as part of our Coast to Coast effort. The owner gave us a lovely welcome and locked our bikes in the garage. The twin room was large, bright and comfortable. The bathroom was en-suite and had quality soap and shower gel.
The breakfast was very tasty and plentiful. Owner also minded our bags whilst we finished our ride.
Excellent value for money as well. 
Would recommend.

We really enjoyed our 2 night stay at Deneview, the rooms were spacious, very clean and comfortable. Catherine and her husband were wonderful hosts during our visit and make a fantastic breakfast.

My stay at Deneview

Like coming home!

I stayed here only for one night but would definitely stay again. Owners are very pleasant and helpful. Rooms are very cosy and tidy. Breakfast was lovely and owners were happy to time if with my commitments. Off road parking around the back of the property and free WiFi also. WiFi wasn’t the greatest but certainly did the job and is to be expected. Room also came with a kettle and a complimentary chocolate bar which was a lovely touch.

The very best B&B we have stayed in. Immaculately furnished and spotlessly clean. Katherine and David are so very friendly and helpful. David even drove us into Consett and gave us a tour of restaurants and pubs, with good advice on the best taxi firms to use on the return. Great breakfast with scrambled eggs and smoked salmon offered and accepted. Delicious. Made a lovely change to a full English. This must be one of the best B&Bs in the country. I need say no more. 

If Carlsberg made B&Bs.....

We stayed here for 5 days recently and a big thank you to Catherine and David for such a wonderful stay. We were made to feel at home straight away. The decor throughout is quite lovely, with many thoughtful touches and was immaculately clean.
Breakfasts were delicious and when we didn't fancy a cooked breakfast, fresh fruit was provided. The bed was comfy and room cosy, we loved the choice of drinks in the  room and the "choccie" biscuits! Very good value for money and highly recommended. Thank you to our hosts for you kindness.

Super stay

Excellent stay with Catherine and Dave, their house is beautiful and very elegantly furnished. Brilliant location for visiting Co Durham. Easy to find and a short walk to a local pub. Gravel parking at the back, ideal for cars and trikes. Very tasty and filling  breakfast. We would highly recommend staying at Deneview and hope to do so again.

Fabulous stay

I stayed one night at Deneview earlier this week, during COVID. I was doing the C2C with my bike. As soon as I arrived I had a very friendly welcome from Catherine, and she showed me to a completely secure garage where I was able to leave my bike overnight. Castleview is a few miles out of Consett, and Catherine immediately explained that her husband would be happy to drive me there later so I could get something to eat, which was very much appreciated. My room was great—very clean—and the bathroom was excellent. The shower was so amazingly powerful that it almost knocked me off my feet, which was just what I needed after a day on the bike! Breakfast was yummy (there were two other people staying (they were together), and we had a dining room each, for social distancing). And all this for £40 - quite amazing value! Great stay, and very highly recommended to C2Cers and others.

Friendly, comfy and fantastic value!

I would highly like to recommend this beautiful guest house after our stay last night. Katherine made us very welcome and couldn’t do enough for us to make sure our stay went well. The room was beautiful as was the surroundings for our tasty breakfast. If ever I need a room in this area I wouldn’t hesitate to return. Extremely good value for money, easy 5 star ⭐️.

Wedding stay

Just stayed 1 night at deneview Consett.As soon as we pulled into carpark was warmly welcomed by Catharine who showed us round her beautiful home the decor was outstanding our room was gorgeous with tea & coffee facilities. On top of this we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast made of locally sourced produce served in the beautifully furnished dining room. We look forward to staying again in the spring but will make sure it's for longer.
