Travelodge Newbury Chieveley M4

I have stayed here a few times now as it is in a very convenient location. Although next to the motorway it was surprisingly quiet and I always managed to get a good nights sleep. Staff were always polite and welcoming, particularly Sanjay who always had a smile on his face and was very helpful with checking in and answering any questions that I had.

The room was nice and fitted with all that I needed.
The receptionist, Sanjay was very helpful and wanted to help with anything I would asked for.

Room was very clean and tidy, really enjoyed with decafe coffee. Overall facility excellent, room was with extra beds.

Clan, simple and comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price. Staff were pleasant, friendly and helpful. Room was clean and tidy with a very comfortable bed. My only gripe is that it's not easy to find as the signposting stops just as you need it most and the sign is obscure by the bushes. 

Sanjay provided excellent customer service. He was polite, patient, and very informative throughout our interaction. He answered all our questions calmly and clearly, without any hint of frustration. We really appreciated his helpful and professional attitude. Thank you, Sanjay

M4 Travelodge in Chieveley was renovated well. Very comfortable bed and spotless bathroom. Staff named Sanjay was very approachable and helpful with full of enthusiasm for customer needs . Great asset dor the company. Car park was free when registered.

Travelodge was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. The staff were very helpful when checking in,  they ensured we had entered our registration on to the system, so our car was registered. The room was in very good condition and spotlessly clean. The bed was clean and very comfortable. The shower was amazing! Would highly recommend this Travelodge!

A great place to stay. With nice, clean rooms and friendly staff always ready to help, especially Sanjay, thanks for all your help Sanjay. Highly recommended. A short walk to the service station and Costa and Smith's. Easily accessible from and to the the M4.

Excellent value for money. Clean and tidy. Car parking arrangement is rubbish! Ways in, but when full no way out! We shall default to the very close by over flow car park next time. Plenty of hot water and tea n coffee. Idea for passing through as we are.

Very comfortable travelodge

Great night's sleep and fantastic shower!!

What a relief! After a looong, traffic filled, weather blighted trip down from Yorkshire, via many roads with lane closures, Navin at the front desk was a blessing. He offered to - and did - carry in our bags, unlocked the door, and then went back out and helped my exhausted partner in through the various locked doors. Clean comfortable room for an astonishingly affordable price. Highly recommend. 

A welcome affordable stop w lovely staff

I had avoided Travelodges for many years as had twice been put in family rooms in 2 different hotels with no mattress on the single bed and staff refusing to sort out the problem.  Did not have that issue this time.  I also did not like the smell of the hand wash and shower cream before but the hand wash is definitely nicer.  Still not too keen on the shower cream though.  The shower temperature was boiling hot, then very cold on the same setting.  I'm sure if i'd seen a member of staff to report it to when checking out they would've tried to get it sorted out but i only stayed 1 night.  Was a nice, clean hotel and impressed with how quiet it was in the bedroom despite being next to the M4.

Love the new look room.  Had issue with shower temperature

This Travelodge is definitely requiring refurbishment and I believe more resources could be invested by the company. However I do have to say the staff were outstanding and the main reason we stayed . Also genuinely concerned for medical conditions. Shout out to Trevor Katy Jodie Daniel and Jack - who always has a cleaning cloth in his hand 🤚 

Great staff 

We stayed in a family room that slept four, a double bed and two singles. Clean and comfortable. Brewing facilities. Friendly welcoming and helpful staff. Close to services. Vending machine in reception. Plenty of parking - front was full but spaces around the back. We arrived quite late but were still welcomed and able to park.

The old part of the hotel looks worn but the new rooms are amazing. Bathrooms spotless and curtains blocked out the light. The chairs were quiet posh. Carpets new and paint new . Beds comfortable.  Parking in the front and back. Location at a services. Quiet nights sleep. Fan in the room . Staff welcoming. Although there's an issue with over booking rooms. This has happened twice in a couple of weeks. They rang me to see if I was still coming!!.

Also we have been in bath travelodge in same tour, newbury chieveley M4 is much better than bath travelodge.
