The Swan Hotel

A really good friendly bunch of staff members, who helped the enjoyment of our lunch catch up. The food was super, and delivered with a smile. We were not rushed at all throughout our visit, with the staff checking in on us at regular intervals. Would definitely visit again.

Loved the pub , the friendly helpful staff, the food was beautiful too. We checked into the hotel ( house in the grounds!)… shown to our room and found it perfect. Great value and we will 100% come again. We came up from Weston because of our daughter’s wedding venue being close by and asked if we could have a late check out knowing it would be a late night. No problem at all and no extra charge! Amazing !!

Excellent value for money. Rooms are clean and spacious, with ample tea, coffee  milk etc. Which they are mire then gappy yo top up if you ask in the pub bit. Rooms also gave ironing board, fan, heating etc. Plenty of wall sockets for charging phones etc.  This us my second stay and would recommend. Only downside us no breakfast but there us a Toby not far away if you needed. Plenty of oarling spaces.  Lovely and quiet as off the roadside

Only stopped for a meal so can't comment on any overnight stay. But the food was excellent, staff welcoming and friendly and had a good old fashioned pub 'atmosphere.'   We were staying at a larger nearby hotel but decided to walk on one of the lovely sunny days in January and were so glad we did.  Comes highly recommended.

Warm welcome, nice annexe accommodation which had everything you need incl. tea and coffee making, TV and walk in shower. No complaints at all. 
The pub is lovely and staff very friendly. The food is incredible!

I often visit The Swan for drinks and meals and it never fails to disappoint. The staff are all lovely and the food is very good. Had the recent Valentine’s menu there last Saturday and the quality of the meal was exceptional.

Went to the Swan for unlimited Prosecco and brunch with friends, food was brilliant and hot , I had the eggs royal , poach eggs was cooked to perfection, staff was good and made us feel very safe . We had to sign in with name and after and phone numbers, plenty of hand sanitizer around , 
Would definitely go back

Stopped for a lunch, waiter was very attentive and helpful.     One of our party asked for something not on the menu and the chef said "yes I can make that".     I also had a mixture of from the menu and it was absolutely delicious.    So thank you for our Saturday lunches.    Will definitely stop again when this way.

The room was good, it even had an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe, didn't use it but there if you needed it.
The service was lovely, helpful and friendly.
We had a meal in the pub, if you want a cheap meal this isn't for you but if you want quality and properly cooked food (not ready made heated up rubbish) then you will enjoy this.

The hotel was in a great location right off the motorway and easy to get anywhere from it. We had a great Sunday roast lunch upon our arrival. Throughout the stay the full english breakfast which was included in the rooms was delightful. The mushrooms were marvellous! We also had a few other meals during our stay which we enjoyed. As well as lots of great cider at the bar. The staff were all friendly and helpful and we would like to especially thank Bryn, Phil and James for making our stay memorable. We'll be back!

Absolutely Perfect !!

Comfortable and affordable

A warm welcome

Stayed over on the way to France via Plymouth.
Rooms were basic but clean and usable. Beds were very comfortable.
The restaurant/pub was pleasant and cosy.
The food was very nice and well presented. I would highly reccomend the scotch egg starter/light bite, absolutely stunning!
The young man behind the bar was excellent, very welcoming and helpful. Attentive, well mannered and really worked hard to make our stay comfortable and pleasant. 
The Swan is a cheaper and more pleasant alternative to your run of the mill budget hotel type of accomodation.

Better than the big chain budget hotels! Great value for money!

We stayed 1 night, our room was clean and very comfortable,  there was only 1 bedside light on my side of the bed, a second would have been useful! Bathroom a bit dated and in need of an overhaul. We ate and the food was excellent, they were able to cater for my Coeliac Disease with gluten free options without problem. No after effects so they got it right.

Pleasant overnight stay!

I booked this for  one night after visting The Wave - 10 mniutes away by car. The rooms are in a building next to the pub. Comfortable double bed and good sized room. No available wifi in bedroom. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms overlook the A38 so there is some traffic noise - take earplugs if this is likely to bother you. Fantastic breakfast (taken in the pub) - there were 4 choices on the menu I wanted - and I am not a meat-eater. Free car park at the back. Covid-aware.
