We have stayed here many times now and never tire of it.
We generally stay in the ground  floor studio and for the two of us it is ideal, my wife is disabled so having all to hand is great.Fab views and Richard and Sheila are si friendly and welcoming. Close enough to town with good taxi services if you want a car free day

Stayed in the Arian cottage. Sheila was very welcoming on arrival and made sure we were OK on departure. 
The cottage had everything we needed, was charactered and cosy.

Directions, follow the directions they provide before arrival they are sooo easy, unsure why people complain about this.

It is a nice private cottage with land but there are neighbours and they should be respected in this rural area. Sheila did ask not to let the dogs run loose and rightly so. Unfortunately others staying caused chaos and complained because they broke these rules.  It's not difficult and such a shame as they will not be able to accommodate dogs with ignorant people! You wouldn't let your dogs run amok at home or disrespect your neighbours. 

A sofa cover was provided for the dogs too which is lovely. 

We had a fire going all day on the Sunday £5 a bucket of logs , reasonable and perfect. 

Nice and close to shops , pen y fan , waterfalls etc so great location. 

Everything you need and would stay here again for sure. 

Such beautiful views too 

The moment we arrived we felt relaxed.  Our cottage was cosy, immaculate and beautiful with everything you need.  The location is stunning and the views are incredible. Great location for walking and bike rides. The location is ideal to enjoy the hustle and bustle of Cardiff, that is only 40mins away and the tranquility of the South Wales Valleys at the same time. The hosts were wonderful and we can’t wait to return. It is a very special place.

Absolutely beautiful, underfloor heating made a cosy cottage home from home, stunning views across the cynon Valley.Comfortable beds well equipped kitchen.I forgot all my streeses whilst here great base for sight  seeing close to beautiful Brecon Becons, Cardiff etc.Warm welcoming locals.

This really was a beautiful find for a last minute escape. We stayed in Glas, the studio and it had everything we needed. The decor is tasteful with lots of little touches. The magazines, books, toiletries and tea and coffee supplies were all unexpected. I would definitely recommend this place for a relaxing weekend break. Wish we could stay longer. Richard was very helpful and checked in on us when we arrived. Thank you. Hope we can come back again. 

Absolutely wonderful place. The views from outside are marvellous and there is plenty of parking. 
Stayed in Glas (upstairs studio) and was perfect for what we needed. Beds were comfortable, only complaint is that the twin beds could not be made up into a double and they roll apart from each other really easily so I  came very close to falling down a gap!
The studio was clean and tidy, bathroom was a dream after a day spent hiking. 
Kitchenette was cute and quite well stocked, good for breakfast but there is no oven so eating out for dinner is easier. 
Definitely coming back in the colder months to try the wood burning fire. Owners were helpful when contacted and they leave a nice pack of information for you. Next time I want to stay in one of the cottages ☺️

Stayed in Gwyn, a cosy but spacious cottage with great use of space and modern touches that gave it great character.
Spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable beds, gorgeous bathroom and lovely hot shower. Sky TV and Movies was great, great views, great compact kitchen area with 2 hobs and plenty of pans etc as well as microwave. Greeted by the lovely Richard who told us about the old railway walk leading to a pub perfect! 
Will be staying here regularly throughout the year when wanting to get away to absolute peace and quiet.
Had the best night sleep, better than any hotel have stayed in, and even my own home, and the underfloor heating is divine! I am writing this from the cosy bed as I muster the strength to leave!

Fantastic place

De stress in this beautiful cottage.

My daughter and I plus our dogs. Booked and paid for 3 nights, left after 2. The photos don’t reflect the size of the room (it’s very very small) and the two single beds are squashed together into a small space - you have to climb onto one of them to get into it as there’s no room to walk around it. We had to move one mattress onto the floor by the fireplace as it was like sleeping on a double bed - we expected at least a little space between the beds. Beds uncomfortable, although the linen was good.  
Immaculately clean and well equipped kitchenette. Bathroom/shower was great. We were told that the room was big enough/suitable for 2 adults and 3 dogs - it isn’t - and had we known the true size and bed situation we wouldn’t have booked it. 

We were constantly having to stop our dogs from walking around as it was noisy on the floor, there were people in the flat below, and there were signs everywhere telling you to keep the noise down - not relaxing at all for us or the doggo’s. 

The long walk along the old railway path is good but there’s nothing else around the property to walk your dogs - all out of bounds. 

Some of the info on the website and in the property needs reviewing and updating - an example is a 10 minute walk to the waterfalls when in fact it’s a 20 minute drive. 

If you’re a couple then it would be ok but not as it was sold to us. I emailed the owner well in advance of writing this review but no response received.

Glas studio - disappointing

We stayed in Gwyn  which is a studio apartment and was very comfortable, as in other reviews I have to say the noise from the upstairs apartment was a little annoying every footstep could be heard. (thankfully I think our neighbours were contractors who settled down early so it wasn't too bad. although they did wake me up as the went out early in the morning).
The aparment is very well equipped  and more than adequated for a short break, the enclosed garden at the front was ideal for our dog - a real bonus.
However the lack of attention to detail, maintenance and cleanliness  and the generally tired appearnce of the furnishings have really let this place down. The kitchen unit and fridge needed a deep clean, the shower unit looked tired and dirty didn't drain very well,  the toothbrush mug was cracked and the toilet brush handle broken, these items should have been removed if not replaced. The sofa was in a very poor condition and mismatched scatter cushions looked tired and dirty.

Its such a shame that  little things spoiled our overall experience.

An overnight stop in trnasit to South Wales

Location great for peace and quiet 
However far to overpriced at £75 for my night for standard of accomadation
I stayed in Gwyn studio
Dark, stone walls and the furniture and curtains tatty and dirty. Cobwebs everywhere along with spindly spiders 
Micro kitchen in cupboards smelt and microwave really dirty and smelt burnt
TV too small to watch in the single beds
Didnt use shower as shower head brown 
Headboard needs replacing as tatty and dirty 
Very disappointed after paying so much for poor experience and I stay in hotels and b & b's alot
Wont stay again
