We really enjoyed our visit to the Side Spring hotel. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere is warm. The food was delicious and varied. The pool looked lovely and clean, although we didn't actually use it as the weather was a little cool for swimming. We enjoyed the walk to the promenade and Side old town area, and found that it was an advantage to be a little removed from the sea front as cafes, ice creams etc. were much better value. There are lovely cafes nearby - we enjoyed the Side Borek Cafe for a lovely lunch (fabulous simit/pastries) either on the premises or to take a picnic to the beach. (The hotel does not allow food from outside of the hotel to be brought in.) We really enjoyed the museum and the history of Side - although it had changed a lot since our last visit in 1986!!
