We had a early 8am connection flight with a 15 hour layover, so I booked Yotel Airside 4 months in Advanced online. The room was about $400 (including the taxes and fees) for a King Premium room. Check in was at 8pm and check out was the next day at 8am. The cost is high for 12 hours, but the convenience when you are traveling internationally and tired, was worth it for us. If you choose a transit hotel outside the airport, you can find one for as low as $62 USD, but you will have to deal with airport traffic, transportation, checking in, security, immigration, etc. We didn't want to wake up at 330am to deal with this on a Monday morning. The Yotel was in the Duty Free Area of the transit terminal, but it is quite a walk from the gate to the hotel. About 15 minutes, walking fast. There is a lot of signs that lead you to the hotel and it is past most of the lounges. The man that greeted us was very nice and helpful as we were there 2 hours before the check in of 8pm, but he check us in and gave us the key. We opted for their lounge access (€45 each guest) because I didn't want to deal with no coffee or breakfast for the next day and we ate there also when we arrived. The food is okay, but really, there are better and tastier options directly outside of the hotel in the terminal. But again, I did this for convenience. When you are tired, you will spend the money to unwind. We had room 3115, which was a bit of a walk from the elevator, but the halls and room smelled so good. The room was very clean and I was impressed of how cool the mood lighting was in the room and how comfortable the bed and pillows were. We had a window that you could see out into the terminal, but there are also shades to slide down for privacy and blackout. The bathroom area was clean and the shower had the rain water and also the handheld. We had 2 complimentary waters in the room. There is no coffee maker in the room. If I had another long layover with an early flight, I will be definitely staying here. It is also very quiet.
