The hotel is conveniently located just 15 minutes by tram from the main train station, with the nearest tram stop only a 2-minute walk away. Additionally, the Altstetten train station is situated right outside the hotel, offering excellent transport connections. Upon arrival, I was warmly welcomed by the receptionist. Check-in was quick and efficient, and when I requested a room that didn’t get direct sunlight, the staff was very accommodating. I was assigned Room 4033, which turned out to be spacious, clean, and quiet, with a large window, an en suite bathroom, and a comfortable sofa. The bed was especially comfortable, and the room temperature was perfect — I slept very well throughout the night. The bathroom was also impressively spacious and spotless, fully stocked with all the necessary toiletries. Breakfast was satisfactory, offering a good selection of both English and continental options. Overall, I was very pleased with my stay at the Mercure Zurich City and would gladly return.
