This is one of the best spots at Smögen. The place is located super well. The staff is really nice, the rooms and the bathrooms have great standard. The staff i super friendly and breakfast place has a great spot. You really get best out of a hostel/vandrarhem. 
The terass is located nice in the sun where you can enjoy a beer.

Great place. Great staff 

As all places Smogens Gasthem has its pro and con’s.

Pro: Nice old villa in a lovely neigborhod 1 minute walk from the wharf. Fresh interior in navy style. Very comfy beds! Great breakfast served in a cafe/bistro on the wharf 2 min walk away.

Con’s: Really small room! Nowhere to put your staff like clothes, towels and toiletry. Only one chair and some hookes on the wall. If you are a light sleeper the other guests will probebly wake you up at night on their way to/from the shared bathrooms. The only reason I do not give it a higher score, is the price. Almost everything is expensive in Smogen so is this place. We payed much more per night for our small room with shared bath here, compared with a good 4 star central hotel  with a larger room and ensuite bath in Gothenburg…

Nice but pricy

We booked our stay at Smögen Gasthem through Trivago and marked off for pets.  We also messaged to inform them our estimated arrival time. When we arrived we were told no pets were allowed and we were wrong about our booking confirmed pets allowed. Our little allergy friendly dog was not accepted.  In the reception area I saw two large dogs on the furniture. There were no vacancy in any of the other places that night so we ended up having to find a place far away.  Very unprofessional not knowing what websites they use for promotion or that their info about pets is wrong. This place gets a strong negative review because of the unwillingness to help out. It was late in the evening, they knew nothing else was available and we were misinformed. Never going back. High priced for having to share bathroom with other guests.
