I couldn't ask for more! We chose this place because it's just a walking distance to the Nine Arch Bridge and also the entrance to Adam's Peak. They have a nice little garden in front of the room with a million dollar view. We booked for one night but then we extended another night. The family are super nice! We read here that some of the guest did a dinner at their place so we called them on the second day to have that privilege. I was so glad we did it! It's the best home made Sri Lanka food! Better than in the restaurant! A heads up that the place is not in the center so you might need Tuk Tuk to get here. 300 rupes is a fair price. Thank you for having us!!

This peaceful home stay is running by a charming family who will do everything to make your stay unforgettable. The location is great, in the middle of a tea plantation about 10 min. drive from the noisy center of Ella. If you want to wake up in the morning 
 with the beautiful sound of the rain forest birds, and to enjoy the the quietness and the peaceful atmosphere that this place offer, this is the place for you!

The place is located outisde Ella, in the moutains and can be accessed by foot and/or tuktuk (10minutes). There are 2 nice and clean rooms with a very nice nature view to the tea plantations and hills. From there you can walk to Little Adam's Peak, Nine Arch Bridge and Ella Rock. Tangi is an attentive host, she warmly welcomed us and was very helpfull  with transport arrrangements at any time, hill walks directions and restaurant recommandations. Don't hesitate to ask for the breakfast to be served outside in front of the rooms, instead of in the guests dining room. No A/C, only a fan, which is enough in cool Ella. Wifi network is not fully reliable.

It's all perfect!

excellent home stay in Ella

Nice homestay in the mountains, warm welcome and nature view 

This place is overpriced compared to other homestays in Ella. The view is not that good and other homestays with "nine arch" in their name, have an actual view on the bridge. The family is nice but only the daughter speaks English and she is not around most of the time. This makes communication very complicated, especially because you need a tuktuk every time you want to get to the city. The rooms are clean but you can get that for a lower price with a better view (we compared with friends of us). You have to discuss with most of the tuktuk drivers because they don't want to drive the way up there. The breakfast was really dissapointing as it was served cold and missed the basics you get in other homestays (fresh fruits and choice of egg preparation). It seemed like somehow every request was a burden, because they are quite into a lot of other stuff. You can definitely find something similar or better for a cheaper price.

Not worth the money

Hotel by the name "Hotel9 Arch"does not exist. We reserved it by that name but could not find. Finally, we were told by locals that it has changed hands or the name has been changed to "Bbq Hub". THE WORST HOTEL OF THIS TOUR.
