Great stay, very peaceful. Staff were INCREDIBLE, so lovely and accommodating. Breakfast and dinner included and were delicious. Rooms were permanent tents, included a toilet and a shower. Very clean and well maintained. Would definitely recommend.

I stayed here for one night with my friends as part of a safari trip. The ambiance is very nice, because it's surrounded by stunning nature. We slept in a tent with all the necessary facilities and enjoyed the breakfast and dinner service.

We stayed at Gangadhara as part of a group tour in November. We were made to feel incredibly welcome from the minute we arrived and immediately felt at home. It’s such a special experience to wake to the sound of nature in comfortable, clean surroundings. The food we were served was brilliant and the hospitality was spot on. We were so well looked after. We really hope this business has the success it deserves.

Unfortunately we only stayed 1 night in the basic but comfortable tents which included toilets & showers. The owner, Chandana, welcomed us with tea & sweet dosa & couldn’t have been more efficient & helpful during our stay. A delicious barbecue dinner was included. We had a relaxing dip in the river & could hear the local peacocks nearby. Highly recommend.

We spent a night here with a tour group while on our way to Marissa and while was back to relative basics it was a very enjoyable stay. Our host was more than welcoming with a game of Carrom and shared a bottle of Arrack.
Unfortunately we we here only in a night stop over but plenty to do in the surrounding area with elephant orphanage nearby.
A must glamping style.

We spent one night of our sri lanka tour at this lodge. The employees we're very friendly and helpful at all. The dinner (barbecue) and breakfast we're delicious! The permanente tents are very well  constructed and clean!

Spent a night here as part of an Intrepid Tour. We were in newish accomodation, basic framed structures covered in vinyl (I think), with comfortable, mosquito-netted beds. No hot water in bathroom, but it was tepid and quite acceptable. Concrete floor and a few little frogs hopping around made for a very different night! 
I loved this place... it had a great relaxed atmosphere, staff were kind and eager to help out. The new (and very hotel-experienced) owner is doing a great job, employing locals and also using local produce. He has a great vision for the eco-lodge, going forward.
Food was really tasty...barbecued meat was a welcome change after 10 days of curry! Nearby river was another refreshing attraction


This place is very different, fairly basic accommodation in a jungle setting with "faux caveman" decor. Outdoor cold water bathroom, which was fine and suited the ethos. Beautiful location, very friendly and helpful staff who gave us a guided walk through jungle. Plenty of great food. We happened to be the only ones there so got excellent service from the three staff who were there!

Great Jungle Experience

Here on an intrepid (insipid) tour. I have to say that we received great hospitality from the proprietor, and the food was pretty good. Beer was cold too. However the room was anything but luxurious. Cold shower, concrete floors, old bedding. I suppose this is to be expected in an “eco lodge” though. I do think with a few finishing touches this place could have potential, though.

Bare bones

Large strong framed comfortable tents with smooth concrete flooring. Flowing fresh tepid water in the showers with mosquito nets. Thought it would be hotter at night but the temperature drops to a comfortable level. Rain started at 5.30am which was a nice wake up call to our early start. The 3 minute walk takes you to a 20 metre wide flowing river that we seen locals swimming in & washing clothes. 
Evening BBQ was a nice change- curry of course but with chicken, pork & fish. Wine is SL-2800 per bottle & beer numbers were wrong on our tabs but paid it anyway as it all goes to local sources
