Main Reef Surf hotel

You can catch a wave within about 3 mins from leaving your room here - and that's including a minute waiting for the next set! Tourism is seriously down here from normal non-covid times, but you wouldn't know it in this place! You'll still find a table here but most are full, most if the day. Why? Well, it's well-named, right on sand in front of the main breaks, but then so are a few places,but this one is really doing things right! Ice cold beer, always served in bottles with koozies on, into glasses from the freezer, right onto the 'sliced tree, log-legs' tables, with fantastically tasty food at really great prices - everything from gorgeous bacon and cheese toasties to fresh lobster! The rooms are super-clean, freshly decorated with good, fast cooling AC, comfy beds, top-notch hot or cold shower and just seconds from the sand and world-class waves. My only complaint? The owner, Ruhan, works too hard! He's always scanni g the tables, making sure nobody's left hanging without a cold beer or a delicious menu to choose from! He even managed to have a quiet word in Santa's ear and get him to swing by on Christmas day for the couple of kiddies that were getting their first taste of this surfer / beach bum paradise - I'd be shocked if these little dudes didn't grow up and bring their own families here! Cracking hotel, top bar, beautiful palm-thatched sun-shade canopies on sand, great, varied chill music, super-heloful friendly staff... What more could you ask for!!
