Las Barcas

This is a holiday rental, not a hotel. We stayed in one of the upstairs apartments. These are the two-bed ones, while the ones downstairs are larger. The benefit of being upstairs is that you have a fabulous sea view from your large balcony. You still have access to the garden, which is shared between all five apartments. The location is just wonderful. From the garden gate, you walk straight on to the beach (Playa Las Burras). It's a residential area, very peaceful at night. But a few minutes walk away are shops and restaurants, and bus stops with a good service. The apartment is large and well equipped, with dishwasher, washing machine, storage space and the facilities and equipment to cook meals. The double bed is a real one (not two pushed together). The shower is good. Wifi worked even in the garden. Beach towels and deckchairs are provided. (Loungers on the balcony and in the garden may not be taken off the site.) There is somewhere to dry your wet things. They have thought of everything, I don't think we lacked for anything all week. It is extremely secure. Parking is on the street but it felt like a safe neighbourhood. Some cleaning is done during the week, including making the bed if we hadn't got around to it. The only thing they don't do is take away recycling, but there are public recycling bins just down the street. Please note it is not accessible; if you are 'upstairs' you are actually on street level at the back, but use stairs to reach the garden/beach; therefore for the 'downstairs' flats, you have to use the stairs to get to the street.
