Spain in terms of hostel organization can hardly disappoint. The hostel is in the centre, in a very beautiful palace, the common spaces are enjoyable, although not particularly large. The kitchen is shared as the tradition wants, in the rooms there are personal cabinets equipped with a keychain.

Typical and organised

Got off on the wrong foot with this hostel as we booked a private room and then ended up all by ourselves in a 12 bed dorm after they made a mistake with the booking. Staff weren't overly friendly, wifi didn't really reach room. Location was okay. The whole place felt a little dingy. It was cheap though.

Not the best place I have stayed but reasonable value for money.

Not the best, but cheap

It was pretty average. Nowhere near Sol for a start (embajadores), and the room was a basic basic 12bed. I was travelling with a huge group so we all stayed in the one room which made it a bit more homely, if I was in there travelling solo I would have hated it. Area is rough. Bathroom was dirty.

We went for the price, next time we will save up more :P

Cheap but not cheerful

Stayed here for a few nights and I can honestly say it was the worst hostel I have ever been in. The staff were unfriendly and not willing to help (although I can speak Spanish), the rooms were cold and the blanket inadequate. 
The location is ok about 20 minutes walk from the centre but even for the cheap price of this hostel I would definitely not recommend to stay here. 

Not worth it 

I paid a little over my (very low) budget for a single room at Sol and it was worth every penny. Breakfast was filling, good coffee was always available, and the bathrooms were absolutely impeccable--and that's usually the downside of most hostels. I had space to spread out, a full bed to sleep on, and all I had to do was walk downstairs to be in Madrid's bustling Puerta del Sol. I'd recommend it to anyone willing to go 5 or 10 euro over budget. Worth every penny. 

Worth the price

Dirty rooms, bad smell all over the hostel, very poor and bad breakfast, there's always a lot of confusion and the location is not central at all, cold rooms and there's towels to pay for and even the lock for the closet where to store things.

Don 't ever go away.

The structure is on the edge of decency, small, dirty, poorly furnished rooms, only some rooms have private bathroom and in these few most services are faulty or malfunctioning. Common spaces practically fatiguing with the common room where to have a small breakfast, bad smell, bad breakfast like the whole structure. Cleanliness practically absent from both rooms and common spaces. Security and privacy are not guaranteed even in the rooms. Absolutely to avoid.

Dirty, old, and uncomfortable hostel

I stayed in Sol Hostel In Madrid. This is a good place for these young people like me. Fairly clean and comfortable, great location, good (cheap) price. The staff was helpful. Minus: sometimes it was too noisy. I can recommend this hostel.
