Stayed here while I was in St. Petersburg for the first week of the FIFA World Cup. The sign out front just says "Hotel", but trust the Maps app; you're at 7 Planets. Didn't speak Russian but, with the aid of my Translator app, check in went smoothly. Two towels are provided: a hand towel and a bath towel; as well as toiletry samples: shampoo, body wash and hand soap. There are two sets of WCs and showers on the floor: one has a shower and two WCs, the other has a WC and two showers. The showers are standing showers. Two of the showers have sinks and mirrors. The third does not. All have locking doors. The showers do look aged, but don't let that put you off. Also, I recommend you pack a roll or two of bathroom tissue as the rolls provided tend to run out quickly. The toilets, by the way, don't flush with much force. So, no flushing of bathroom tissue. It all goes into the wastebin. There's a kitchen on the floor as well. Bring your own food. All the tools are provided for cooking meals. Just don't forget to clean up after yourself. Once you're checked in, there's a sensor on your keyring that allows you to come in through the front door without having to ring the front desk. On Stachek Avenue, there's a couple grocery stores, a bank and Narvskaya metro station. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Highly recommend to anyone visiting St. Petersburg, during a football tournament or not.
