Casa Sforii Brasov

spent 4 nights at Casa Sforii all 19 of us with 6 rooms all together. Old Brasov itself was great and the hotel's location right next to the city's main attractions was very convenient.
have to mention the staff and the owner who showed us kindness and felxibility combined with a big smile that maid this hotel choice to be the best we had on this trip.

This place is cozy and lovely I  went there for one night it’s very easy to find , the staff are very lovely and nice , the room was great but the drainage system is a bit smelly . And another down point is you can’t pay via card . In rest it’s a great place in the heart of the city 

We stayed at Casa Sforii in Brasov for one night only, while visiting the city. The locxation is ideal - right next to Strada Sforii and a short walk from Piata Sfatului. The owner was very accommodating (as we wanted to check in early) and helpful. The condition of the rooms we received was brilliant, the beds comfortable and the bathrooms clean and tidy. Could not recommend more. 

It would be even better if they had a breakfast option - I could definitely see myself sat at a small table in their very lovely courtyard, having a cup of coffee.

By mistake we arrive at this place and I'm so happy that I acted on my intuition.From the very beginning ,talking with the owner I had a good feeling.The place is cozy ,clean,simple but nice with a typical architecture of the zone .
I felt like coming home.

Brilliant and comfortable stay at Casa Sforii

Fantastic

Wonderful place to stay 

The place is positioned very close to the Black Church - giving an amazing view. The rooms are spacios and the central heating makes the ambience pleasant. The small kitchen has microwave, coffee filter, and toaster which proved to be very useful for a quick breakfast. The negative part is the mould found in the bathroom, and on different parts of the walls, especially close to the windows. The bed was not so comfortable, making noises with every tiny movement, thus the sleep was not relaxing during a 2-nights stay. 

Needs improvement

Very spacious but rather basic.  Television did not work – World Cup was on so this was a big issue.  Internet was poor – almost all the time it did not work.  It was not as if reasonably fast internet was not available in Brasov – in one of the coffee shop the internet was super-fast.  Self-catering facilities were limited.  There was a coffee machine, no kettle, not cooking rings, only a microwave.  There was not an internet connection to figure out how to make tea via a microwave.  There was no welcome pack in the room and no internet details when we arrived.  Perversely after we texted them about that and we received the code that the internet worked on the first night.  Then the wifi code seems to have changed.  The kitchen had not been cleaned properly.  After 16 hours of travel and no alcohol during that time, we were very alarmed that there was no corkscrew to open wine bottles in the apartment.   Given that wine bottle openers are not allowed on flights, this was a big issue.  Someone should have checked.  Luckily, we were able to go to the nearby café/pub to get our bottle of wine opened.   A lot of these things can be sorted out cheaply and with a little care and attention.  It was also suggested that toilet paper should be put in the bin rather than the toilet, however if this is the case, it should be removed every day.  It was not.  There was some traffic noise at night in the bedroom.  We wasted a large amount of time trying to get an internet connection.  It is not good enough to say that the internet company will come out in 2 or 3 days.  There really should have been a booster router in each apartment.  The next place we stayed in in Sibiu had a really fast connection and the rest of the places we stayed in in Romania have had very good or adequate connections.  The other negative think is that we could only pay with cash.  It was not very good value for money.  If you do not rate the place as a 2/5 then they may not deal with the issues with a sense of urgency.

Great location but needs to be organised better

If you arrive here using a GPS, the entrance of the hotel is on the right hand side of the entrance of Strada Sforii. The room we had was spacy for four with a kitchen. The shower water pressure was not strong, and the Internet was often slow. You can also hear neighbors speaking or the sound of the street. I personally had a good sleep. The location is good. We had to find a parking a bit far. We will try to find another place if we come back to this city next time.
