Pensiunea Gainusa de Munte

We had a lovely time at Gainusa de munte. The rooms are clean, the yard looks great, they have birds the children can see, a football and basketball field. The food is not great but is fresly cooked. You have some nice places nearby where you can go hiking

This was the only hotel that immediately gave us a full refund.  They were so kind and honest.  Despite being a small family hotel they made the effort that other hotels won't do. We so hope to stay with them another time.

This is a very nice place, in the middle of nature.
They do have enough parking places.
The rooms were clean, nicely decorated, with comfortable beds and balconies.
We had one room to the backside, with a view to the big playground, and one to the right side, with view to the big trees and to the garden. 
There is a very nice little garden with plenty of flowers and a small fish pond.
We enjoyed eating on the outdoor terrace.
They also have a little animal farm, which should be a big attraction among kids.
Unfortunately, during our stay there about three families with many  little children which produced a lot of noise, so it was difficult to rest in these conditions.
At the restaurant they have very tasty food and the staff was very helpful, very client oriented, they prepared for us also meals that weren't in the menu.
In general, all staff was very friendly and eager to help.
It was a very pleasant stay and we would definitely return there!

We wanted to go to Cheia for a long time (not as a big priority, but something to see anyway), but somehow we never found an accomodation which was the right combination between looks, services and prices. Gainusa de Munte felt a bit pricey at first, since the double was 195 RON without breakfast, but we went ahead since it looked promising and they had different types of extra things. 
The villa is nicely placed with the back at the forest and you hear the geese and peacocks as you come in. The decorations are simple and nice. The staff was welcoming, from the lady at the reception to the cleaning ladies or kitchen/waitress ladies. 
They have an interesting system where apart from the accomodation, everything consumed/used needs to be put down by the customer and paid at the end - this shows trust.
The place is very good for families based on availability of toys and the animals and the fact that they serve the last order for dinner at 19:30.
We had 2 meals and breakfast, a fair balance between the quality of the dishes (which tasted home made) , the size (medium to large) and the price (not too cheap, not too expensive).
A big plus for how warm it was in the room and how hot the water was (they had a bathtub..).
Overall, we were satisfied, nothing to suggest/recommend, we enjoyed it.

It is a peaceful and relaxing place to spend your weekend. Very good for people with kids and very good restaurant as well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The surroundings are amazing and you can spend your day walking or in the garden. I would recommend this place for people who want to recharge after a long week at work.

We went for a short week-end but it was sufficient to relax. 
Activities possible: rent mountain-bikes, poneys walks for kids, tennis court and basket-ball. 
From the location we went to Red Mountain, a place with very beautiful views. 
Meal a la carte good, we served fish on grill. 
Breakfast included but below average.

Good place for  a long weekend!

Peaceful and relaxing

Lovely place in the middle of nature

We had to cancel a reservation because of COVID.

We chose this place for its child-friendly facilities. There is a nice outdoor playground, but no jumping mattress as stated in earlier reviews. The mini-farm is nice to look at, but no petting or feeding, so it's an activity that keeps kids occupied for 10-20 minutes. The poney ride is not included, we paid for it. There is no breakfast included (which I find a little disapointing, at this rates). The tennis court is included in the price (even if the notice in the room states differently, don't ask me why). The room was very hot, even with the heating turned-off, and it was only May. The bed is horribily hard, it's like sleeping on wood, even the kids couldn't sleep well (and they usually sleep everywhere). 
Now the good points: the food is very good, the staff is very kind (although they clean the room only if you ask them, and that means only taking the garbage and the towels), the location is peaceful and nice.

Nice place, but quite overpriced

I came for just 1 weekend (the property policy is:release the room latest at 11 am!) It is the 4th time visiting Cheia (another accommodation, not available this time). Gainusa gave us a very ok accommodation, big and clean rooms. BUT instead of a welcome flyer (very common everywhere) I found 2 pages of legal terms of what you are not allowed to do! Breathing was missing, a terms & condition update need!  We felt a “cold” and unfriendly atmosphere during our stay: Video cameras everywhere, write in a booknote what you take from an (limited choice) bar (you are not allowed to bring from outside not even water), “I have to close my monthly financial status,  you have to pay until 4pm” restricted hours for breakfast /lunch/dinner. Gate was closed at 21:30 (we had a walk, as there’s no other alternatives in Cheia, till 21:15, at the limit). Gainusa reply: these are the rules for civilized and constant clients. I barely dare to breath there and I was not civilized? Yes, we were offended, because we write these on their Facebook page! For food we looked for known restaurants, where we really felt welcomed! Kids might be happy to see some domestic birds in their cages, so I recommend to those that don’t have the opportunity to show to their kids these souls in their natural habitat. Prices vs restrictions for a short 2 nights stay?  I would better stay in a camping area nearby ”Mos Martin” where I can do what I want, when I want! I DO NOT RECOMMED to those to want TO BE FREE!

Very cold and unfriendly :((

We ran into an extremely hostile attitude with the lady when trying to make a change to our initial booking due to a medical incident. It was NOT  a cancellation and we had already paid one night in advance, but the administrator would not even consider a change without an extra penalty. A very unfriendly and un-hospitable attitude, showing no interest at all in nurturing guest relationships.
Ne-am lovit de o atitudine de-a dreptul ostila cand am anuntat o modificare la rezervarea initiala (NU am anulat, platisem oricum o noapte in avans ca si garantie). Doamna administrator ne-a tratat cu cea mai mare nepasare si ne-a anuntat ca avansul este pierdut in cazul acela si ca trebuie sa achitam suplimentar. O atitudine de comert ambulant de joasa speta, din pacate...
