I stayed here 2 nights. The Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The Ground Floor has been recently renovated and this is where I stayed. The rooms are extremely comfortable. At first impression, breakfast looked humble....however the omelette that was prepared for me was wonderful! WiFi was fast and reliable throughout the hotel. Parking was free. I could find zero faults with this hotel and I plan to return soon.

It was moderately priced and really suitable for one night because we were looking for something cheap but clean! The services were ok for what we paid, but one can easily see that the place looks a bit out of date.

I missed a safety box in the room - in all other aspects a nice hotel with very good value for money. Late breakfast times but OK breakfast.

I suggest this hotel because it is in the centre of Bistrita but the location is quiet. The room and the bathroom were ok, breakfast was good. We had a tasty dinner at the hotel restaurant. The receptionist is always present and speaks English. The prices are interesting.


Hotel receptionists were both friendly and helpful. The staff in the dining room were not so friendly and I got the impression they wanted guests to leave the room quickly as possible so they could set it up for another function.

I only stayed for 1 night and didn't have breakfast, but the room was clean, the bed and bedding were clean and of good quality. Some blackout curtains would have afforded us a longer sleep, but the room was big and the overall atmosphere of the property is quite pleasant. Unfortunately there's no elevator. We were on the 1st floor and had to carry our bags up 1 flight of stairs which was fine, but others might have difficulty, particularly after a long journey. The prices of this property can vary. It can be substantially cheaper than the Coroana  de Aur which is directly adjacent, or it can have similar pricing. If the prices are similar, I would go for the Coroana de Aur as the  room and ambience there is nicer and it has an elevator. But, that said,  I would be just as comfortable recommending Hotel Bistrita as I would Coroana de Aur.

Stayed just one night. Clean and comfortable big room. Large bathroom with good shower. A short easy walk to the local restaurants and pedestrian area. Quiet overnight, good substantial breakfast, pleasant staff.

Once the hotel was found, everything was great.Hotel is on the other side of the main road, and round a corner. Google knows the location.

Nice hotel with perfect location

We stayed at this hotel for one night and we were a little disappointed. We fount it a bit hard as it didn't have the name posted on top so you can see it. It was under renovation a part of it. The room had not a nice view from the window and below there was the garbage cans so you can imagine the smell. The room was large and quiet. The waiters from the restaurant were very rude especially an elderly woman who turned her back to me when I said that neither of the 2 coffee machines weren't working!
