The restaurant Vincent - not to be confused with the Café Vincent - which also operates a branch in Ruska Street - has existed for many years, but is still quite little known. Given the quality offered, it is not really justified. The kitchen is excellent: varied and seasonal, carefully prepared - without embarrassing solutions from the deep fridge. The hostess Magda is a hearty soul; she operates the restaurant with a really good cook and few but lovable staff, so you have to take some time to buy. The best time to wait is already around 22:00. Or, if the guests leave early; therefore, you should not go out late. The parts of the restaurant are hidden in a few houses on the ground floor, and I don't recommend anything else.

This wallflower should be known!

We loved our apartment, it was very spacious and comfortable with lots of traditional charm, plus a fabulous terrace.
All the staff were very friendly and Magda was fantastic, her English was very good and she gave us lots of advice on where to go and how to get there.
The restaurant looks small when you first walk in but it continues on through the back and down to the basement. The whole place is full of atmosphere. 
The Vincent is on the main tram route and its only a leisurely 3-5 minute walk from the Market Square, with all its restaurants, shops, and the tourist information office.
Magda even recommended a money exchange shop where we got an extremely good rate for our sterling (much bettet than in the UK) and no commission.
We would definitely recommend Vincent, both for accommodation and food and hope to stay there again

Full of charm and character 

The location was perfect, the ventilator in the bedroom and the large closet. These were the positive things. The apartment was very dark because of the oak furniture, the dark tiles and the wooden beams. Didn't use the kitchen because everything looked very cluttered. Breakfast at Charlotte was highly recommended 👍. In the hallway / staircase we had to turn on our cell phone flashlight because there was hardly any lighting. In the bathroom there were no toothbrushes and bathroom supplies. The lamp on the mirror was broken. There was no brush available to fix the brush. At 35 degrees outside temperature, the floors could not be moved through. At the top of every window, the old woodworking room of Grossman's bedroom was so nice that it could not be moved through the next window.

Never again to recommend Vincent

Attending the Challenge Wratislavia fencing tournament, 9 teenagers and 7 adults arrived in with about an hour's notice. The restaurant was empty, maybe a bit odd for Friday evening, but we were accommodated in a private upstairs dining room that was a very good size for 16 to dine around a single large almost square table. The room had a beautifully ornamented ceiling and the decor throughout was very atmospheric. The menu available was very limited, just a set menu with 2 options for each course: fine for all the adults, but not to the taste of most of the children. The restaurant rose to the challenge and after some negotiations the children who didn't want to eat from the set menu agreed an ad hoc spaghetti and chicken (just spaghetti for a vegetarian option) with tomato sauce dish. In light of a long day, early start and compromised children's meals, those eating off the set menu declined starters - a shame as they both sounded delicious. The set menu dishes we did have were excellent, very high quality indeed. The mains options were roast duck and salmon: I tasted both and both were delicious. Desserts were also great. Service was friendly, but perhaps a little too laid back. After a long day's travelling we were happy to take our time over dinner, but I could imagine some people would have been irritated by the pace of service. The final bill was very reasonable, particularly in light of all but one of the adults having wine and/or beer. It's a pity there weren't more people in eating, which would have really helped the atmosphere, but I suppose we wouldn't have been too happy had service been slower because a crowd was in. If you're staying in the apartments, you really should try the restaurant at least once. For others, it's definitely worth considering as a quiet alternative to some of the busier places in the main tourist zone.

A very nice place to stay. Charming spacious studio flat in an old though thoroughly refurbished tenement house. Bathroom was simply decorated but equipped well enough, the only thing to improve maybe would be the shower handle height which couldn't be adjusted. Unfortunately, there is no lift and some of the apartments are high on 4th or 5th floors so might be difficult for some to climb especially with big luggage.

Affordable boutique accomodation in the centre of a busy city

We visited recently on our 25h anniversary trip.  We had no idea that May 1st was such a big holiday in Poland.  The staff was mostly away on holiday.  You might think that service would be affected by this, but the owner, Magdalena, made sure we were well cared for, bringing breakfast to our room the evening before to put in the mini fridge.  In addition, she took time to talk to us and give us the history of the building.  

The room was spacious.  The decor fit the building and was such a break from many of the sterile looking rooms in hotels these days.  In contrast to feeling as if you had stepped back in time, there are modern amenities.  In addition to the fridge, there was also a dishwasher, a washing machine and free in room wifi.  We stayed on the second floor with a nice balcony.  It was a bit chilly to use it too much, unfortunately.  

The location is also very convenient to Old Town and Cathedral Island and easy walking distance to cafes and restaurants.  

My only regret is that we planned such a short stay here.

We just loved it

We are just back from a weekend stay at the Vincent,The room was so cute and spacious it was very comfy and quirky,The bedding was lovely and the staff were very friendly.We had a wee kitchen,a spacious living room and a small balcony,The hotel was gorgeous and was easy walking distance to everywhere.Exceeded our expectations,hopfully one day we will go back xx

Lovely Little Hotel

Our apartment spanned two spacious floors with creaky timbered floors and quirky wooden stairwell. Not for the fainthearted or small children but full of charm and character. Bedroom had twin/double bed with double bed-settee in the lounge area. Bathroom had corner bath and 'telephone' type shower with warm cozy underfloor heating. Kitchen hardly used as we ate out but seemed more than well equipped with washing machine and dishwasher. For the age of this building it was very well decorated and furniture was in-keeping with the style. We didn't know how to work the tv but we had free wi-fi so it didn't bother us at all. Ground floor restaurant serves good Polish food, highly recommend both Pork dishes and the Duck. Not sure how often the menu changes? There was a large wine selection on show but we had beers and spirits instead so can't comment. Lovely trusting hostess - gives you the keys. All in all, a great find.
Trams and buses run right outside with sounds like trains, so not a quiet place to stay, but we quite like to hear the city folk wake up and go about their business, otherwise we would book a hotel in the country!

14th century building gives charming rest from busy city

Accommodation near the ring, 10 minutes' walk to the market square. The apartments are oversized and match the ***-star level. The house has no elevator. If you are not good at walking, you should rent an apartment in the 2nd OG. Day-holders drive a lot of cars on the Rynek, but this is at night so that the night's rest is not affected. The hotel is a family business, the owners are very friendly and all the staff speaks fluent English. If you only speak German, you should take a book.
