If you are looking for a nice, clean, safe and friendly place to stay while in Lima, Casa Amanecer is it! We had a great stay without any problems or complains. The hotel is located just a couple blocks from Parque Kennedy, the central park of Miraflores, with great restaraunts nearby. Ricardo Paz showed us all around Lima. He seemed to be very knowledgable about the history of the city and the country. All the staff were helpful and friendly. Thanks to our new friends at Casa Amanecer!!! When we return to Lima, we will be sure to your hotel.

Excellent Place To Stay

Stayed for 2 nights. Very basic service. Room not ready when we arrived at 10 pm, even though we had a reservation and were due to arrive earlier. 

Avoid rooms to the front of the house as the street is busy and we were in room 1 which is also beside front door so we could hear everyone arrive through the night. Also had to close curtains to get privacy.

When we left i forgot my phone charger. I phoned and was told it had not been found by cleaning team. When in Lima again staying at another hostal noone was available to speak to me when i called. 

For the same money there are better alternatives. Not worth $45 a night for a double room.

Much better options for the same price.

I think the relation between price and quality is good.
The ubication is very good, because is neard to everything in Miraflores you don´t need to take a taxi to move in Miraflores. The bedrooms are ok if you just need a place to sleep, but if you want to spend more time in the bedroom then you will think they´re kind of ugly.  The only real problem is the bathroom because they have a big problem with the drain, because stink all the time, so that´s a very bad thing.
Other issue that is not a good point for the hostel is the knowlege of turism of the people that work there, they really don´t have any clue about turism information of the city.

Is ok for a couple of days

this was a horrible experience from the rotten eggs they served for breakfast to the bad plumbing that no one knew how to fix, the electricity was cut off at one point for several hours. The worst was the bed bugs, there is no arrier between the mattress and the sheets. I awoke covered in bites. Never again!!!

The web site of this place looks nice, but the rooms don't look as nice in person.  The bed was kind of lumpy, but passable.  The location is convenient, but it's on a busy street with lots of horn honking that starts early in the morning.  You won't be able to sleep late here.  The hot water kind of comes and goes in the shower but never seemed to run out completely.  The biggest problem here was the bedbugs.  On my second day there, I noticed bites around my waist. Since mosquitoes don't usually bite there, I pulled the sheets back and searched the seams and ticking of the mattress, and found about 5 bedbugs. It was still before noon, so I notified the front desk about the bedbugs and told them I was checking out shortly.  I put the clothing I had been wearing in a plastic bag and kept it away from my suitcase since I didn't want to carry any pests back home.  The bedbugs were the worst thing about this place, but I wouldn't stay there again anyway because it just isn't that nice of a place, plus it was too noisy.
